Hotel Majestic Saigon has been ranked at 118 among Asia’s top 125 hotels at the 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards which is based on voting preference of travelers of which has been praised by Conde Nast, a Top Travel Publication on 20 October, 2011. It’s our honor to officially confirm that the new Majestic Building will be an Annex Wing on Nguyen Hue street and next to the existing building. The Colonial Building since 1925 is still forever maintained as its Colonial French architecture. Since 1925, Majestic Hotel has occupied one of the finest locations in Saigon where guests can enjoy the stunning views of Saigon River. The old world boutique charm of the hotel, the elegance of columned and arched classical French colonial design glorify the Golden Age of architecture. Luxury is achieved through attention to details and complete comfort ensured through courteous service. The Majestic has gone through several reincarnations over the years, changes that reflect the tumultuous history of Vietnam. During World War II, the Japanese Imperial Army used this French colonial structure as a military barracks. During the Vietnam War, it was frequented by foreign correspondents and espionage agents. It is a hotel of tradition - hospitality - elegance.

Great hotel, classy and stylish, the room was large and comfortable . Breakfast is served at the rooftop restaurant, with breathtaking views over the river and the city. The location is very central We would definitely recommend it.

Wow. The Majestic Hotel is a Colonial Relic, Built in 1925 it has, obviously, survived the war(s). We were whisked through check in and given an upgrade to a Colonial Suite. Having travelled all day, we were too tired to do anything else. The room is amazingly beautiful,

We stayed for 4 nights in a lovely colonial suite. The rooms were lovely and the bathroom was updated. The location is fantastic - on the river and on the nicest street (Dong Khoi) with an easy walk up to Opera House and other locales. The breakfast buffet was really nice -

Hi - do you need an electric converter for U.S.A. phone chargers, etc. ?
So you'll have no probs plugging into the wall but Vietnam is 220 volts 50Hz. One of our hotels had a 120v pllug as well, can't remember if it was Majestic (or even Vietnam). Nearly all phone/phone chargers these days can be charged at 120v 60Hz or 240 volts 50Hz so should not be a problem, but maybe check your specifications. I've heard some chargers get hot if used on the alternative voltage to home, even though they do both voltages.

Do you have a casino?
Yes, there is a small casino, in the new wing, called M Club. I looked in the doorway, and despite being invited in, did not go any further ... I'm not a gambler. It appeared well patronised. Hotel Majestic is a lovely hotel in a good location. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
