The hotel is closed from the Airport - 10 min by car only. Quiet location where is away from the noise.
The room is clean, large, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast has many choices that you can order unlimited.
The rooftop restaurant has delicious set menu with very cheap price.
The staff is very helpful and friendly especially front desk team and Thong in the restaurant.
The price is very reasonable and valuable compare to another hotels in town.
Would love to be back again.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly - helping us book tours, find a pharmacy and get transport on a holiday. We found the facilities clean and in good working order and the breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience.

I had a flight into HCMC one afternoon and a flight out again the following morning. This hotel is perfectly located for a quick airport dash (15 minutes away) and is clean. I walked into District 1 (about 45 minutes) to see the Notre Dame and post office and it’s a pleasant walk. Didn’t eat in the Bookmark restaurant but noticed it is no longer open for dinner - didn’t look as though there was much in the immediate vicinity in terms of restaurants so that could be pretty frustrating for some guests. All in all, good value for money.

Terrible. This is like a motel. The facility is dated and dirty. No lock to the hotel room. Only a bolt lock. My husband and I checked in late at night and early in the morning, the housekeeper knocked my room door and opened it. I’ve told her we weren’t up yet. Then they started vacuuming all morning. So noisy. One night stay was more than enough for us. Beware of the wide len they used. Picture made room looks bigger than it is.

Spotlights
* Beautiful Lobby w/ Huge Bookshelves: #InstagramWorthy
* Affordable Room Prices (they've already been economical before pandemic)
* 10min Driving Distance to The Airport
* Tasty à la carte Local Deli Breakfast
* Extremely Quiet Neighborhood
* Spacious Room

Pity
* The Bathroom water pressure was extremely low. I didn't enjoy the shower.
* Located in a narrow alley, some drivers couldn't find it.
* No free bottled water provided.

If the Stay & Dine Package was only limited for lunchtime, the hotel should have informed me first. I didn't have time to have lunches during my stay and wasted the promotion package.

Ps. I stayed in the "Executive Grand Room".

We arrived Chinese New Year and the staff we not at the desk but having a party in the room to the side. Also, a man was lying on the sofa in Reception the whole of the 2 hours we stayed. We decided not to stay because the sign by the lift apologized for the fact that there was no restaurant in the evening nor room service - this has been the case since 1st October. The hotel is not near any food outlets. We would not have booked knowing this and even in the room it still had the room service menu. Really badly managed

....a 10 minute ride from the airport (VND65,000) and on main road to city centre (VND60,000). Immaculately clean, excellent breakfast, super staff and everything you need, especially if you are looking for a stopover before a flight. Incredibly quiet and a very restful ambiance.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review Alcove library Hotel. It is such a pleasure to read this review and know that you found your stay here more than satisfactory. Thank you for highlighting the points above as these are things we are very proud of here at Alcove, the staff take great pride in their work and so it is great to see your praise them. Also you noted our close proximity to the airport but also to the city centre, this really makes Alcove a great stop for anyone, whether you are visiting the city or just in need of a rest for the night. Hopefully we have the pleasure of welcoming you back here in the not too distant future. Best regards, Alcove Team

Staff are as friendly and helpful as ever, but the facilities could use some investment. COVID-19 hit hotels hard and The Alcove was not spared, losing its restaurant. Which is a shame because I recall it was very good, and the hotel is not ideally located for outside eats. Shower pressure is strong enough and gets hot instantly. The bathroom needs maintenance, and has acquired an offputting musky smell. Happy to report that the toothbrushes are now soft bristle and the other amenities are decent.

The Alcove is still a convenient place to sleep off jet lag, but it's not the bargain it used to be. It's about average for the price range, and is no longer a full service hotel.

This didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. As others have said, the restaurant was closed. They were painting so we could smell that the entire time (but thankfully not in our room). The internet was spotty. The shower didn’t have hot water on multiple occasions.

On the plus side the staff was super friendly and always helped us book a taxi.

Warmest greetings from the Alcove Library Hotel! The check-in time is 14.00pm and check-out time is 12.00pm (noon). Regarding any early check-in request, there would be no extra fee for check-in after 9a.m, but this is subject to the room availability on that day. If the room is not ready, we can keep your baggage and you can enjoy some drinks on our Rooftop Bookmark Restaurant in the mean time.
