We stayed on the second floor facing the river. Positives : Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Nice view from the balcony. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful. Negatives : Although we had a non smoking room, smoking was permitted everywhere else in the hotel. Bathrooms are nearing the point of needing to be renovated. Additional meals and drinks were very...

We usually stay at small hotels because they are in our budget range and we find they have more local character. However some friends recommended this hotel, so we gave it a try. The best aspects for us were the very large rooms and the extensive and interesting buffet breakfast. The service and amenities were what you would expect in...

We've had beautiful experiences in Vietnam but this hotel certainly did not live up to our expectations. Location is good. Lovely courtyard setting for breakfast. However, hotel is aged and needs refurbishing. We have stayed in hotels where the building dates back to the 1530s and were like majestic palaces! Here we were greeted by musty carpets in lifts but...

A lovely colonial style hotel, with traditional rooms and furniture...everything speaks of quality. Nice touch which exemplifies my point is the lift mat changes from "Good Morning" to afternoon & evening as appropriate. The bed is comfortable with lovely linen, and pillows..the one item I have found to be of variable quality in Vietnam. All facilities provided including wi-fi, courtesy...

Nice staff and big rooms. This hotel has an interesting history. There are a number great photographs around the hotel. The location is great and it is a short walk to the citadel. The breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to others we have had, there is still a decent range though.

Old Colonial Hotel in a great location, steps away from shops and restaurants. Huge marble lobby with a couple of shops selling local goods. Our room had a beautiful darkwood floor and furniture. We had a Deluxe room with a small balcony which overlooked the Perfume River. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast each morning in the garden terrace, but...

Stayed there in June 2016. Large gracious rooms. Beautiful front of house, sweeping staircase. Excellent service. Very good outdoor pool ( you pay extra for the spa) Minor point that breakfast was served outside in the beautiful garden, but was a little too warm, compared to the air conditioned rooms.

Nice hotel in central location. Rooms very spacious and clean. It rained whilst we were here so did not use the pool. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Within walking distance to restaurants and the market by the river.
