Was not impressed when staff suggested asking other travellers when simple travel advice was requested. The (female) owner was more helpful but not friendly. Nevertheless the facilities were good and clean, including a small kitchen and outdoor seating area. The dorm room only had 6 beds and there were lockers under the bed. The city centre is also within walking...

Very very very clean. The owner is a Japanese lady and she keeps the entire place in a perfect condition. There is a highly secured entrance door and a personal locker under each bed which makes things safe. It is very peaceful and quiet place for a very good price! I highly recommend this place although the only annoying thing...

We stayed in a double bedroom in Sakura Guest house for a few days in June. The price is really good for the quality of beds and the space for the room. There is a small kitchen but still you can cook. Also there is a small supermarket near the guest house and 2 shops where you can buy samsas...

The guesthouse is interesting. Cheap, clean and friendly. There is a little kitchen for cooking which is appreciable. However, I stayed there for 24 nights (I was learning Russian in bishkek) and the owner refused a discount ... that is very not usual and in a very unfriendly way.

Just for 550som you get a comfort bed in a spotless dormitory. Showers and toilets are also very clean. There is a nice garden and a small kitchen with fridge. Perhaps, it's not so easy to find, but it isn't far from the center. The lady and the girl from the guesthouse were so kind. Some people may find annoying...

Great value. It is clean, tidy and comfy. It is hard to find something like that in Bishkek. Most of lodging in this city is not neat. Sakura has been recently renovated. Actual price is 1400 SOM for 2 person room and 550 SOM for the dorm. Small kitchen and some yard are the places to socialise. There is lots...

I would like to call this guesthouse a hostel, since it looks like a hostel and it feels like a hostel. It has a nice garden to hang around when you want to rest for one or two days. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom / toilets too. The kitchen could be a bit more equipped, but since...

I stayed here for a couple of days last October. As the dormitories were quite full and crowded I decided to treat myself to a private room as the price was still very reasonable. The room was clean, quiet and nice. Bathroom was also clean and nice. Very friendly and welcoming people. They have a nice garden where you can...

I only have good memories of this place. Kyrgystan is a country where you are happy to meet other travellers unlike in thailand for example. This place is perfect to exchange tales from the road or the newest visa infos for uzbek and tajik visas:) the owner is nice but i think she realised that her romantic idea of running...

“If you arriving in Bishkek via a shared taxi coming from the east (eg Karakol or Kochkor), it's likely they will drive right by the hostel on Jibek Jolu. Keep an eye on the map/GPS and jump out at the corner of Sovietskaya. It's maybe 200m from the intersection. Also, if you need to go to the Tajik Embassy while you are staying at Sakura, the 17 trolley bus from Soviet (super close to the hostel) takes you there, with a short 3 block walk at the other end.”
