The hostel is situated right next to the night market / Mekong and as such is the place to be. Unfortunately we were there during Lao New Year and it was VERY loud and crowded and wet... First we had a room facing the street and hardly slept the first night, but once we asked to change the room to...

The lobby is quirky with many wooden Hindu and Buddhist carvings. Location is OK. There is a night market opposite the hotel which was going on till midnight. This would not have been a problem but the noise travelled through in to our bedroom and kept us up. The noise in the room really was a problem, not just from...

This total located in the center of the market so it is easy for people who drink too much to go into sleep one night as I did. The room is the simplest with almost nothing except min bath and bed. The breakfast is not good either and the staff although not rude but understand very little English and do...

Location is nice. The hotel is in front of the Mekong River and the night market. I love how cheap the items are in this night market. There are also many really nice and cheap restaurants nearby. The hotel rooms however are a bit run down and might need upgrade soon. The interiors in the lobby are really nice and...

The officer in charge in the reception is fluent in English. However, the ticket we bought from them for travel from Vientiane to Vangvieng(minivan), they charged us 100,000 kip per person. We asked the other passengers and they told us they bought it only for 40K to 60K kip. Also, the cleanliness was below average and the food is not...

We did not stay at the hotel, but we visited the restaurant attached downstairs. We very much liked the ambience with all of the Laos style decoration and big wooden tables. That is what made us go into this place to eat. The food was very good and decent priced. Good fruit shakes also. Free wifi in the restaurant.

We stayed for 2 nights in a room overlooking the night market & the river. The location is great for exploring the local restaurants and night market. The hotel has an old world charm to it and the rooms were nicely appointed with everything we needed, the bathroom could do with updating & whilst the shower was hot the water...

Was a vintage property, built old style with ceiling fans and high ceiling. Missed a swimming pool. As I would get a pool for the price we paid. On the river front. Happening night market right opposite to the hotel. Location was v good. Good night life nearby. Average stay. Would book a newer property next time . more chic....

Our fourth floor room was spacious and clean, with a small balcony giving great views of sunsets over the Mekong River. The traditional decor in the room and in the lobby was interesting and unique. Breakfast the first day was cold and uninviting but improved the second day when the food was cooked freshly to order. Good central location with...

The room I originally booked looked a bit dull and dismal with a view from the 4th floor of corrugated tin roofs. The helpful receptionist offered me an upgrade for an additional $10/night on the first floor. I was happy to take it as: a) the lift was broken b) it had a river view c) it had lots of...
