While it looks new on the outside, unfortunately, the interior is rather disappointing. Maybe its dependent on the rooms assigned, but the room I had is small for a twin room, as it does not give good space planning to place luggage (and to get to the wardrobe requires some awkward stance). Saw some rooms that were quite large, but...

It's been about 4 years since I last stayed at the Family Boutique Hotel, so I was very pleasantly surprised at the positive improvements. Some of the rooms have been fully renovated and others have many of the features upgraded. Now a nicer lobby and lift as well, and a larger restaurant on the second floor. A very good breakfast...

Varying size of rooms to fit your needs. It was clean, and comfortable. The complementary breakfast was very good. The manager John helped us communicate with the locals and helped us out with all of our needs. Good location near anything you would want to do in the city.

This is a hotel that could be fantastic but unfortunately let itself down by being a construction site. We were part of a group travelling with intrepid and I have to say this was the worst place we stayed in. I've been a reviewer for 7 years on TA and I can count on one hand the number of hotels...

Not the fault of the Family hotel but there is construction occurring next door which means noise and rubble in the street out front. Other than that it is a good budget hotel located quite centrally. The window in our room faced towards the open area of the floor so curtains are to be kept closed for privacy. Request an...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Location is good as cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. The Mekong night market is just 10 - 15 minutes away from the hotel. Check in was OK and the staffs were friendly. There are around 9 or 10 rooms on each floor. The wifi was up and down as there was only one...

The staff are friendly and location is ok but the hotel construction next door spoils our stay at the Family Hotel. All day there is noisy work being carried out and last night there was a constant drilling that was soo loud it kept us awake all night. No discount was given from staff when we complained. We were also...

We stayed there for just two days during our Lao run. The room was ok. We booked one of the deluxe rooms. I guess thats the better option than the standard ones. We had a nice balcony overlooking the street and the amusing construction site next to our hotel. We think that the standard rooms just had windows looking into...

We had a small twin room with a inhouse window to the corridor. One main reason we choose this hotel besides the location was the wifi. Too bad we didn´t believe some of the previous reviews. We are were disappointed because it didn´t work most of the time (3 D & N) we stayed. They said they are trying to...
