You can enjoy business trip to stay in the good view hotel beside Mekong River. There are many interested places surrounding hotel such as Pra Kaew Museum, Temples, etc. You may like it. You can go to Wattay International Airport only 15 minutes.

I went there for the business trip September 2016. The hotel is huge and very business-like. The room was spacious and clean, with Mekong river view. It located around downtown area. Pillows were comfortable but the bed was a bit hard for me. Staffs were helpful. Good breakfast, not many various choices but the taste was quite good. Wifi was...

Attended an international conference there for two days in early August 2016. Didn't stay there but those who did said the rooms are big and old fashioned. Unsurprising as this hotel was built in a grand style with a huge lobby, grand staircase, big ballroom and multi-function rooms. Stayed here for 6 nights. Had to changed rooms after 4 cos the plaster on the ceiling of the first room came off. Thing is, I hadn't even noticed until the kind person from the reception called to alert me. Have to say that the hotel deserves credit for trying hard. Loved the firm mattress and spacious rooms. Location wise...
