Just stayed for one night at the Vayakorn. Wasn't able to read any reviews prior to checking in - just took Lonely Planet's word for it. It was pretty decent for the price - the room was clean, had airconditioning, hot water, cable and wasn't too small. The only thing I didn't like about this place was my view -...

Vayakorn is centrally located in the old town. The room have nive wooden floors and are comparable with four star hotel rooms. The only problem is that some rooms have no view at all. The people of the reception are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at the Vayakorn Guesthouse on our way to Luang Prabang. It was a great place to stop in Vientienne. The rooms are impecably clean with an elegent feel from all the dark tropical wood floors and trim. The ceilings are high, giving the rooms a truly spacious feel and at $25 a night for a double,...

We paid for an airport pick-up and at $14.5 dollars for at most a 5 minute car ride it was definitely not value for money We were dropped off at the wrong hotel - the newer upmarket Vayakorn Inn, where we offered a room for $33 per night - $1 dollar more than the amount we had paid (excluding the...

Stayed here for two nights after arrival in Laos. Very good location close to many restaurants etc.. Room was spacious and clean but a little bit dark. Staff very friendly. Not the cheapest GH in town, but a good value for the money. WiFi for free in the lobby, signal in the room was only low. Would stay there again.

I booked this guesthouse via email and there were no problems with my reservation. The room was large and very clean. The hotel was in the downtown area and was a little noisy (we were there in the week leading up to New Years) but I am a light sleeper and I had no trouble sleeping. The staff were very...

The guest house is in a good location, a short walk to the river, temples and restaurants. The room is spacious and clean, though a bit run down.

Vayakorn Guesthouse offers excellent value for money. My single room was small, but adequately furnished and quite comfortable. Staff are friendly, breakfast @$3.50 is substantial. Best of all, the location is great with the river front, as well as the main street with all the restaurants and bars, just minutes away. Taxi ride from airport is US$6 ( go to...

“Any rooms on the 3rd floor, right hand side have large windows with unobstructed view (nothing spectacular) but you are not staring into the wall of another building so you have night natural light. I had the corner room at the back (306) so I had 180 degree view which I think makes a difference. Wifi worked great in my room.”
