I just learned from the hotel staff (if I understood correctly) that they just opened after a year of renovation. Our room 406 is very spacious, carpeted & luxuriously designed. The faucets are gold-plated! Although the bathtub doesnt yet have a shower curtain. The bed is very comfortable & the linens clean. Likewise, the bathroom towels are thick. Breakfast is... More

I stayed at the Bishrelt for two weeks during the summer of 2012. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the restaraunt was delicious, and the rooms were large. We had no problems with the hot water or internet connections. During our stay, they were busy making cosmetic upgrades to the hotel, so I can only imagine it would be... More

I have stayed at the Bishrelt Plaza a couple of times now, two years apart. The first time was better than the second. The bar is good, the food at the on site restaurant is good albeit the service was slow, but otherwise the service overall at the hotel was good. The second time we went in August 2012, work... Bishrelt Plaza indeed offers spacious rooms, although the furnishings are quite old and not very appealing. Bathroom is sufficiently equipped but also old. While it is perfectly cleaned every day, an old shower cabin just never seems to be quite fresh and there is a bit of a mould problem. There is sufficient hot water to take a shower at... More

Huge rooms and bathroom, clean corridors, but the access is through an unlit passage which can be a bit dangerous in the night. Internet only works in the reception area. The food is good and breakfast usually served as buffet. Centrally located, and reasonably priced, so a good choice for mid-level business trips.

We stayed at the Bishrelt three separate nights on this visit in early August 2012. I was surprised to find that although they'd made some cosmetic improvements, nothing much had changed in the "inadequate maintenance" department. Since my 2010 review, the Bishrelt has completed its new restaurant, the Empire Pub, which is really gorgeous and a good place to have... More

Sadly, the only redeeming comment I could think to say about this hotel is that the young staff are mostly polite and pleasant. However, you have to wonder where on earth is management?! The latter seemed to be completely absent. While the rooms are relatively fine, being large and full of light, every possible fixture was hanging off the wall... More

My husband and I stayed at the Bishrelt Plaza at the beginning and end of a 2-week tour (each time for 1 night). The Bishrelt was undergoing renovations, so parts of it, like the main lobby, were closed off at the time. Like much of Ulaanbaatar, it has a slightly faded elegance and occasional oddities combined with a spirit of... More

“Difficult to say which rooms are better although I would try to get a room not on the street side since the inside rooms may be quieter.”

“Hot water is more likely on the 2nd floor, but late-night noise from ongoing construction is likely to be more obvious. Ask for a room which faces away from Liberty Square; you may escape some of the traffic noise.”
