I took 6 days and 5 night tour to gobi on the end of October. It was awesome. We only hire a russian jeep and driver without guide. Our driver was very helpful and friendly also kind. Eventho he not speak english very well. But he can understand the basic things. It was unforgetable trip in my life.

Khongor expeditions organised a 2 day trip to Terelj national park for us. They were v efficient. They collected us from the trans Mongolian train and organised a driver to take us to the Terelj park which was very scenic and beautiful. We stayed in a Yurt (Ger) in the park. The accommodation and food are basic but it was... More

I looked around for a tour fitting in my dates and paid a visit to Khongor tour among other places. There is in their office a blackboard where are listed the next tours and the number of people already involved so you can add up your name if you are interested, that's what I did for a 6 days Gobi tour and... I went on a 10 day northern Mongolia tour. The driver was extremely lazy as was the guide. Those on tour felt we had paid for the driver and guides holiday and we were an inconvenience. On most mornings we left the overnight stop at about 10.30, latest was 11.30. Her alarm was set for 7.00 but she was too... More

I feel very lucky that I've read about Khongor Tours and just before arriving in UB sent an email to them. Because I was traveling alone, I needed a group of people join to, there was no such group at the beginning but as soon as arrived, next day I, we could start a 20 days trip, covering the most... We took the short tour Kh-3 (4 day, 3 night trip) with Khongor, which included staying in family-run gers, horse riding, camel riding, visiting the oldest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, and a morning at Khustai national park scouting for wild horses. It was a fantastic trip, thanks to Khongor's excellent organization & planning of the itinerary and places to stay... More

Two of us stayed here 3 times during our 3 week trip to Mongolia. It's a nice guest house with friendly staff. We stayed in a very small double room on our first night because it was all they had, but we had a much larger and nicer room on the other nights. The showers are hot and clean, and... More

The Khongor Guest House takes more the shape of a backpacker/hostel than a guest house. It is based in one of the oldest buildings in Ulaanbaatar, which might explain their plumbing issues some travelers complain about. We had a twin room on the first floor of the main building which was clean and suitable for our needs and we had... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very happy with the place. We stayed in a private room which was small but bright and comfortable. It had a TV, fridge and safe box for us to use if we wanted too. Breakfast was included with the room, which was bread (not stale), jam, coffee or tea. The staff were... More
