Detailed Reviews
Nice quiet neighbourhood. Visited with 3 friends and got the 4 bed basement room. Polite and helpful staff. Breakfast is not grand but for the price and location totally acceptable, limited but nicely cooked and stocked.
Only downside was that the sofa bed was not set up with no sheets etc, this was because housekeeping had not been. Following this day, this was sorted and room cleaned daily.
The shower room floor was tilted so water wouldn't go down the drain.
Overall, for the price, nice cosy clean place for a few friends to stay, wouldn't recommend for families.

I have stayed at Kaftan several times,
I feel like my home every time I stay here. It is a Perfect place to enjoy ur voyage and get relax.
Owner is very respectable, honest and helpful person, always gives advice and he do not mind or ban an effort to help you.
Super employees” receptions, house keepers”, they have a good infection control of COVID 19,
Room is very clean and well decorated.
Elevator exist which make it more comfortable.
There is a nice teracce with sea view where they serve a really nice breakfast even in the pandemic time” they do the breakfast in personal for everyone with his own space at the terrace in order to enjoy the sea view while getting the breakfast, so the guests will not have contacts at the breakfast which gives more healthy atmosphere as well.
They are very helpful, give advices, and very honest. They are very careful about the guests needs.
They have a beautiful garden with free tea and Coffe all the day,
Free WiFi which works well at each part of the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance to most main attractions. The area is safe for solo female travelers, and the hotel is surrounded by multiple restaurant options. The staff's friendliness, guidance, and ability to accommodate requests exceeded all expectations.

They tried to rip us off for money!!!
Were at the restaurant at this hotel yesterday. The room is stoned, stale stinks, while cold and absolutely not cozy.
The waiter brought us one litre of water, poured us glasses and put the bottle on the table. They brought a yogurt snack, classic.
We ordered the dish in grape leaves, ask this dolma? Says yes, dolma!! As a result, it's just cold rice in sour grape leaves (150 lire).
Künefe, a traditional dessert that we have in Crimea is prepared for 100+. It's been waiting here for a long time, 20 minutes. They bring tacky thin dough, with watery syrup, there was no cheese inside at all. And that's for 250 liras!
Coffee in Turk, simply brewed with water (130 lire)
Our bill's out at 530 lire, the waiter brings in the bill for 800. Let's start counting. He says with a hypocritical face, "Well, I poured you water for 100 liras, there was still a snack. Let's go for 650.
Disgusting service!! I hope you don't have any clients at all.
Since ruining the impression of Istanbul's institutions for such money is unacceptable !

Came here with my father to show him around Istanbul. The hotel itself was clean and nicely presented and the staff are great and always ready to help. It's a 5 or so minute walk to sultanahmet and hagia Sofia so you can easily plan your day without worrying about timing and the T1 tramline isn't very far. They do have breakfast and it's a variety of foods to suit anyone's needs. Great for those wanting something close to the main attractions of the city.

+1
This a nice budget hotel, close to the waterfront as well as Sultanahmet etc. Good breakfast. Friendly service. The local Masjid is the oldest in Istanbul. To view sunrise or swim in the Marmara sea, it’s 5-6 minutes walk. Lots of eating place around and a ethnic goods bazaar close by.

A perfect location in the center of the old city, wonderful people at the location. They helped us with everything we needed.
Rooms are rather small, but clean.
At breakfast i was surprised to find no yoghurt. All in all, breakfast needs an update.

Good Accommodation in Sultanhamet, walking distance to the main attractions (Cistern Basilica, Agia Sophia, Topkaki Palace, Blue Mosque). Room a bit small, especially the bathroom, but quite functional. Good breakfast on the terrace. Friendly staff. Cute garden where you can relax with tea and coffee corner available. Given Istanbul's prices and location, it is good value for money.

My stay here was very pleasant. I stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed all of it. It’s very clean, staff is very kind. Breakfast is ok, nothing special, but still good. Top location, as it’s right in the centre of Old Istanbul. It’s a good and affordable option that I do recommend.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your interest to Kaftan Hotel.
Our beds are 135-155 cm size and rooms are non-smoking rooms. You can smoke in the garden on the reception level If you smoke.
Kind Regards,
Ruhin A. VELIXAN
I can't recall if they had one in the room but I remember they have an electric kettle, tea bags and coffee sachets in the common areas. You could email them and confirm.
Hello, you can just google it. I can't respond with a website address.
We purchased an Istanbulkart ticket at the airport so it is hard to say how much a single trip is. I think it was only about 5 lira each.
Hi our guest.
Kaftan Hotel's building is a historical construction, because of this we do not have lift. But it is not a problem, because we can give you a room from the grand floor.
Kind regards
