This hotel is very well located. It's right next to Gulhane tram stop - so very easy to find and then walking distance to Topkapi palace, Haga Sophia and the Blue Mosque, or to use tram to get to other sights. There are loads of fantastic places to eat and enjoy within walking distance. The lobby is a bit old...

Located within 1 - 5 minures of major tourist attractions in the Sultanahmet tourist centre. Even better - its ON a tram line stop enabling quick, cheap and safe transfers to the airport - ideal for stopovers or tourism. This enables one to avoid taking dodgy Istanbul taxis which reduces stress! Basic breakfast, comfortable rooms - with slippers, excellent front...

Excellent location as blue mosque, tokapi palace & hagia sophia are very close. Breakfast in morning was good with a lot of variety. The hospitality from the staff was amazing and will go out of their way to help you plan your day as a tourist, especially Onur & Umut. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We were 2 friends staying at The Constantine for 3 nights in March. The rooms are very clean with a nice bar fridge. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. A big thank you to Salih who took us on a private tour on his day off. The hotel manager Erhan was our hero during our stay. He helped us...

We stayed 6 nights at this comfy hotel. We especially enjoyed the location of the hotel in Istanbul. At the Gülhane tram stop and at walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Only a short tram ride (or 5 minutes walk to the Eminönü ferry terminals and Galata bridge). The breakfast buffet was very abundant. Nothing too extremely luxurious, but...

small room but close to all the attraction , tram station and many restaurants nearby. walking distance to blue mosque , Aya Sofya, Yerebatan Sarnici , Grand Bazaar & Egypt market. and the private shuttle to airport is valuable if you travel more than 4 person because it's cost about Euro 30 for one big van.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
