We took two rooms in this hotel. The rooms were good. And breakfast was quite good. Many things to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Many supermarkets small shops and restaurants around the hotel. It is within 10 minutes walking to the underground station that takes you to other parts of istanbul. And is only 5 minutes away from the...

This hotel was chosen from many others, not overpriced, not that far from the city centre. If you are expecting a place to put your staff, to relax a little after a long day of exciting adventures in Istanbul, to have a shower and very nice breakfast - this is it. From Aksaray station - which is 4 or 5...

Could I have given 3 1/2 for this hotel, I would have. We chose this hotel for the price and location, and in this regard we were not disappointed. The family suite was very spacious with a large King in one room and 2 singles in the other room, with 2 full baths and 2 TVs. The furniture and decorations...

We were staying in this hotel during last years May 1st holiday. Hotel is on the great location. Very clean. Staff is so polite that I was amazed. Breakfast room is a bit small, but that didn`t stop our waiter to wait us with smile, clean table, and same coffee every day.He remembered where we prefer to sit during the...

This hotel in Istanbul Aksaray is one of the best. Newly renovated. There are many satellite channels. Breakfast is not bad and the food quality as well. Easy access to popular areas. Small lobby and bar No pool. But it is perfect for those who travel to work. I was happy that I went there with my wife.

This was my first time in Istanbul, so I have no comparison with the hotel standards. Anyway, my room was small, but clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good - but not huge. They did not have fresh fruit juices, nor particular teas, just common lipton, but a good selection of olives and cheese and marmelades. The location is perfect...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
