I booked to stay here for 7 nights but left after one night because the AC and TV didn't work, the room was noisy and dirty and the area seemed dodgy. Booking.com - should that be Booking.con - failed to obtain a refund as I could provide no evidence. Not sure how one can provide evidence of broken AC/TV. I...

Our standard room was really lovely, large and had its own balcony with a great view of Istanbul! The staff were so helpful and nice, very welcoming on our arrival and helped us with our luggage up the very steep street when we left! The hotel is right on Takism square so great transport links and lots of nice restaurants...

I didn't pre-book and got an excellent deal, although the room for the first two nights was very basic and as small as you could imagine! The other 8 nights were in a very pleasant room which was well serviced and allowed basic cold culinary delights to be brought back from the local 'open all hours' shop 50 metres along...

Really enjoyed our 2-week stay. Staff were nice and polite and our room was cleaned as often as needed, even when we didn't go out til late. Airport pick-up service didn't go to plan as the driver wasn't there when we arrived, so we ended up spending over £25 on phone calls arranging where to meet as we'd been told...

I stayed here 4 days. Very close to Taksim center. Pros: 1.Friendly staff 2.Prompt response 3.English speaking 4.Hotel cleanliness 5. Available on call Cons: When we ask for double bed, instead of attaching two single beds. Taps should be separate for HOT/Cold water I will recommend this hotel.

Rooms are clean, comfortable, though not 5 star, but excellent value for the money. Especially when considering the location of the hotel! I was traveling alone so I wanted to stay in a place where there would be people around all the time - to avoid walking via the quiet streets. From here it is just a 'stone's trow' away...

This was my hotel for the Istanbul marathon mainly because it had a kitchenette which I like to have to cook my pre race food. The location was also important -right by TAKSIM SQUARE and ISTIKAL STREET. The HAVATAS AIRPORT BUS (10TL) stops around a 10 minute walk from the hotel. the reception staff spoke English and were very helpful

The standard double rooms here are very small, I wouldn't recommend them for, say, a week long stay, but for a couple of nights we found it fine as they were clean, had AC, wifi, etc.. Be aware rooms are up narrow staircases, with no lifts, so you need to be fully mobile, also there is no breakfast offered. The...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
