Words are not enough to describe this hotel. Staff very helpful. Room not the biggest but spacious. Bath good good. No Tub. Fancy Shower. Best of all the location. Next to all means of transport (tram/bus/ferries). Take 100 steps from the hotel and you would have crosses the tram stops, 25 restaurants, 10 sweet shops, Fresh Fish grilling, istanbulkart recharge... More

Hettie is in the New District, We stayed here for a week and loved it! We booked a room with a water view, per reviews I had read. We had room 129 and it was awesome. We had a very comfortable queen bed and a single bed, where we threw all of our stuff. The room was big by any... More

Stayed one night here and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a very good spot for visiting the main sights in Istanbul and also very convenient if using public transportation. I arrived by ferry coming from Sabiha Gökcen Airport and the hotel is a two minute walk from the pier in Karaköy. The breakfast was simple but... More

We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant at the top level of the hotel. After the dinner, we asked the bell guy to call a taxi for us and he refused since else were not his guests... Not the kind of behavior you expect from a respectable hotel...

That was my second stay in Hettiie Hotel within 1 year. Maybe you can think of it as a small hotel but really it is gorgeous. You can find all you need in the room and it is warm relative to 3 degree outside temperature. Location is as amazing as usual. I think you can stay a month enjoying the... More

This is a small, intimate hotel nestled among shops and restaurants along the waterfront in Istanbul. It is a busy area with lots of people roaming around. The rooms are modern and clean with interesting décor. The location is superb....close to a tram stop with easy access to the famous sights in Istanbul. There is a small and friendly staff... More

The hotel itself is a very humble looking hotel, perhaps 2/3 star in the middle of a parade of restaurants. However it is clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent. The staff at the hotel were so very helpful and kind. Right by the Galate Bridge and with easy walking distance to some major attractions. With a sea view room... More

The location of this place cannot get better - exceptional view, at a centerpoint of the city, with all needed amenities around. I originally booked a very reasonable city-view room, and with a small supplement at check-in (just ask) I got a 4-window, corner family suite, which had not only stunning views, but was also very reasonably sized. Breakfast is... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
