Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We got into the city late, and checked in around midnight. The guy at the reception desk spoke very poor english, and got us to pay for the room. We were so tired that we didn't check that we had already paid, so they ended up charging us twice.m The day guy caught the mistake a couple days later, but the only way he offered to fix it was to pay us back in euros, and tell us to go change it to the local currency at a cash exchange store around the corner, which of course comes with a large fee that came out of our pocket. Breakfast was probably one of the worst we got in Turkey in two weeks. There are MANY other hotels in the area stay in one of those.

After two weeks of traveling throughout Turkey, this was the most disappointing hotel of our entire stay. I booked through Expedia and we arrived very late, the night reception didn't speak English very well and insisted I pay, which was odd because usually it goes through automatically with Expedia, or you pay upon checkout. I was so tired, I couldn't really check my email so I paid, and it turns out we were charged twice. The room was average in size but felt very worn - paint peeling from the walls, cigarette burn on the dresser, the drawers and door would not stay closed, sparse and broken hangers in the closet. The bathroom was a nice size with a large shower (for Turkey) but not squeaky clean hotel quality. The breakfast was the poorest of our whole trip - the quality

We were 4 ladies in a family room..... and only 7 hangers in the cupboard!!! I requested extra hangers. 1 double bed, 1 single and a sofa bed. I had to sleep on a broken sofa bed on night 1. This was changed to a single bed the next morning. Towels hard. Night 2 and 5 no hot water to shower. Night receptionist doesnt understand english. No juices for breakfast. Taxi cannot drive up to the door for collection. Bags had to be carried 2 blocks up to the taxi. Ali on day reception was very helpful and so was Emrullah who helped carry our bags. The young lady who does the breakfast is brilliant. Have stayed at this hotel several times, very satisfied, but after this stay won't be returning again. For the same price there are better hotels in the vacinity.

Dear Guest, Sorry for the problems we caused, but we solved all your problems during your stay at our hotel. You wrote you stayed before a couple of times at our hotel without any problems. Sometimes there can be problems. It's important to solve the problem and we solved your problems during your stay. After staying at our hotel you e-mailed us that you wanted your money back. I wished you requested this during your stay than we could give your money back so you could stay at another place if it was that worse. Kind Regards,

probably at the lower end of the budget hotels in this area. For: + Could not ask for a better location + Beds were quite comfortable + Reasonably clean + WIFI was good Against: - Rooms stank of smoke - Staff were indifferent and unwilling to help with anything - Hot water in the showers appears to be a pot luck 50/50 arrangement

I was staying at this hotel this year in April. I strongly recommend everyone to choose it when you are planning to visit Istanbul. First of all it has a wonderful location - you can just take a stroll and visit Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque (SultanAhmet Camii), Hippodrome of Constantinople, Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan sarnici), Galata Tower, Galata bridge, Grand bazaar, Suleymaniye Mosque. I repeat that you don't need to use a public transport to visit listed places. Btw, i recommend you to pay a visit at Dolmabahce Palace, Rumeli Hisari - but if you decide to visit these places you will need to use tramway. Furthermore, the hotel is splendid itself - it resembles a hotel itself and not a dormitory and etc. Wonderful service, rooms are not big, but it's quite enough. The

I stayed at the hotel in August 2013 with 3 friends for 4 nights and loved it! The location is perfect, right in the heart of all tourist attractions. Walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Museum and the river which comes to life with stalls and nightlife every evening. The rooms at the hotel were okay, nothing special but the staff were amazing and so friendly! A few tips: Eat at the restaurants by the Bosphorus river (loved a place called KAT4). if you enjoy hookah, try an area called Tophani. Don't ever get a taxi, this city's traffic is soooo bad! Use the trams or walk. I fell in love with Istanbul and would love to go back again very soon!

My family and I stayed for almost 2 weeks at the Flower Palace Hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location close to all the well known landmarks like Haya Sophya, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Mosque & Ghullane Park. The rooms where me and my family stayed were very comfortable and spacious, with good internet, breakfast and tea facilitates. The staff were very friendly especially Mr. Faysal Taruk who was very kind and made us feel at home. He was helpful in advising us with tours and what places to visit because of him we saved a lot of money. The hotel also kept our money safe. It was more like a family home. Aqsa Khan Pakistan

"+" just a perfect location, really cannot be better. You can quickly reach everything starting from main sightseeing, central park, eminuony station for travelling to asia side, galata bridge with amazing balik ekmeks and shrimps and mussels, a new mosk and food spots for locals with 3tl doner and 1 tl freshly squized juice. Clean rooms, pleasant staff, various breakfast with some turkish cheese and bread and yogurt and so on, and of course a good price "-"some furniture badly needs repair, rather noisy, one can hear everything going on in the corridor well and the tram passing by outside. Though Istanbul is such a frantic city and it keeps you running at such a pace that it takes you only 1 minute to fall asleep when you are back to the hotel:-)

Faysal Tarik and his staff made us feel right at home. The room was quiet, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was a typical Turkish affair with delicious and fresh scrambled eggs, tomatoes, bread etc. We stayed in three different hotels in the area during our month long holiday in Turkey and the was the nicest. It was inexpensive but not cheap. Ask for a room above the side street to avoid the tram noise. It is situated between the Aya Sophia and Hocapasha Sirkesi (eat street) and walking distance to Eminonu ferry terminal.
