Being first timers in a new place is such a challenge in finding that perfect place to stay that will make a good and long last impression to us. Luckily we were very relieved and made the right choice by booking Sultan Hamit Hotel right at the heart of Sultanahmet where the famouse Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque are just around the corner as well as the Blue waters of the Bosphorus strait is nearby. It is a bit far from the airport but the place itself is just utter beauty and less crowded than Taksim square and Galata Tower district so its all worth it!!! We took a cab from airport because our flight got delayed and checked-in around 5 pm. Check-in was fast and efficient and we were booked on 4F. The hotel is located at the corner of cobbled streets and has a romantic and relaxing ambience similar to that of Europe. There are short stairs leading up to the lobby and one of the staff helped us carry our things up to our room - good first impressions!!! The cute, warm, cozy lobby with a lovely Christmas tree on your left by the window beside an elegant brown sofa tops it all off - everytime I enter their lobby I feel relaxed and joyful - this is a great way to start our magical and happy experience here at Sultan Hamit!!! The room we booked is so huge and spacious and maintained the aesthetic beauty of Turkish designs. It has a Brown/Orche/White tones and has a lovely brown carpeted floor which is very relaxing. There is a huge toilet on your right and a view of the neighbourhood on the left. A bronze lounge sofa by the window is on the left with a small circular coffee table. Adjacent to the sofa is a huge wardrobe with compartments with a free Sleeping robes, Slippers, Extra Towels, a Safety box and Mini-fridge located here. Across this side of the room - we have a double bed, a single bed,and the most idyllic view of the Sea of Bosphorus which I loved every morning especially those soaring Sea Gulls and adoring Cats which are plentiful in Istanbul. The bed is so clean, comfy and smooth that we just loved lying down on it! and we slept very well!! I loved the Orche wallpaper with ornate and intricate Turkish style patterns. They also placed 3 super lovely abstract wall paintings. There are side tables on each side of the bed with power outlets. In front of our bed is their TV which has lots of local and cable channels and WiFi was quite fast. Airconditioning and heating is also easy to manage and use and kept us warmth on some cold winter nights. There is a bar table located on this side and they provided us complimentary tea/coffee/bottled waters and kettle/cups. I also loved their Golden framed mirrors attached on the wall beside the toilet. I also loved their cozy, warm, romantic Wall Lamps attached on each side of the room. The toilet and shower is also very clean and spacious. In Sultan Hamit, they have toilet bidets which is a big plus for me!!! They provided complimentary toiletries, hair dryers and the water pressure is strong except the hot water could be difficult to control sometimes - either hot or back to cold but its ok at least we have heating working. Our daily breakfast is a feast of authentic and delicious Turkish food and delights and we always look forward to our spread of fresh and warm breads, olives, cheese, eggs, salad and a lot more. I always loved their Olives and Bread and for me Turkey has the best Olives in the world!!! Their huge Boiled eggs, Turkish Coffee, Fresh Oranges/Apples, Salad, Pasta, Cold Cuts and a huge selection of Cheese are the reasons why we wake up so eagerly early and looking forward each morning!!! Not to mention the elegant and romantic dining area with that intricate Grandfather’s clock and cozy Orche bricks gives you a warm and comforting vibes each breakfast. It is indeed one of the best breakfast buffet experience we had!!! We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights first before we took our flight to Cappadocia and because we loved Sultan Hamit hotel so much we cancelled our earlier booking from another nearby hotel and booked right away Sultan Hamit hotel once we came back from Cappadocia!!! The staff are super friendly and accomodating and they always cater to our needs just like the room service we ordered on New Year’s eve they went extra mile to find us rice on a busy holiday night - Kudos to you guys Sultan Hamit for doing this we really appreciate it!!! :=) They also helped us with our taxi booking to the airport, allowed us to leave one large luggage and any questions we have they are always ready to serve you!!! :=) Then after 3 days in Cappadocia we came back to Sultan Hamit. It was indeed a great and perfect way to start 2024 by rebooking Sultan Hamit Hotel. As I said from my previous review we came back to Istanbul from Cappadocia and decided to rebook Sultan Hamit because of the exceptional and wonderful experience we had at this hotel not to mention their perfect location and delicious breakfast buffet. We booked the same Economy Double room and the price was very reasonable at just 150 sgd for an immediate booking for 2 nights. We got the same room as before but this time we got the basement area and is smaller compared to our much larger room before New Year. I think we got an upgrade that day that’s why their totally different. Regardless, true to its world class service we got a clean cozy warm nice room in the basement and very private. We don’t have window lounge chair this time but we have a small coffee table, window and a huge wardrobe with tons of cabinets and compartments. Just like the previous room we have lots of toiletries, complimentary water/tea/coffee, slippers, hair dryer and safety lock. TV and WIFI are still fast and lots of channels. As mentioned, they kept our other luggage when we went Cappadocia and its already in our room when we entered right after check-in - truly an Exceptional service!!! This time we still savoured and enjoyed their hotel breakfast buffet and were still served with a huge spread of Olives, Cheese, Bread, Cold cuts, Salad, Fruits, Cereals and their daily main courses which they change like Pasta, Rice, Chicken, Veggies, Eggs, Beans and Soup to name a few. I loved the pounded dried Black Olives perfect for your piece of bread. They also have fresh Oranges and Apples and drinks like the local delight Turkish tea and coffee - what a delectable and delicious breakfast spread indeed. The interior is a classic Turkish style furnish with a touch of modernity. I loved their wall paintings of Istanbul and the Golden Grandfather’s clock, the Blue and Cream cushioned dining seats, the Elegant black tables compliment them very well together with the Orche Brick walls very comfortable, rustic and cozy. For me, its even better than some 5 star hotels. To top it all off kudos as always to the staff of Sultan Hamit their very friendly, helpful, nice and served us with a smile and world class service!!! Again we booked a taxi with their help on our way back to the airport upon checkout and it was a breeze!!! Keep up the Exceptional service Sultan Hamit Istanbul, we will surely book your hotel the next time we come back to Istanbul and recommend you to our family and friends!!! See you soon and indeed you made our New Year 2024 a great and happy way to start this year!!! :=)

Great hotel with great employees who made our stay a very pleasant experience! Hotel is located in a quiet small street, which is very important for sleeping and resting since the city is generaly crowded. Yet, it is located in a walking distance from Haiga Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi and also Eminonu for shopping. Very good connected to tram and ferry stations as well - 10 to 15 min walking. Rooms are comfortable, clean and you have everything you need. Employees are really helpful and kind. They will help you with all your questions and they are very patient. Special gratitude for girl Oumaima - excellent english, willingness to help and greet you any time. But also, all the best words for the rest of the employees as well. Thank you for everything 🌸 I would definintely stay in this hotel again.
