I had a good stay at Birbey. I was advised to go there from a friend who works in the hotel sector. I wasn't disappointed. The room and bathroom are comfortable, though a bit on the small side, the bed was very confy, the breakfast reasonably varied and filling. There's also an electronic keyboard in the hall that the manager... More

I was at this hotel before because my company paid for it and it was ok- nothing special. But I think there was a new renovation because the hotel is very nice now and if you're into a nostalgic place I would come here. It is so easy to go places from here my meeting would be 10 mins away... More

This hotel is recently renovated completely and the rooms are completely the same as the photos on their website. Breakfast is ordinary but comparing to the money we paid, we had pleasant stay. it's location is more than perfect, just in walking distance from T1 Aksaray station.

The hotel has been renewed recently with good and modern design. Clean room and bathroom but small room. Good staff, very cooperative. Good location, easy access to historical places. You can compare it with 3 stars hotel in Germany.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
