This hotel is just a short walk from many of the main attractions (Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Haghia Sofia and even Topkapi Palace). Clean, well laid out and a relaxing place to be.
Roof terrace (tables and chairs, hammock) was lovely and offered a fantastic view, including a sea view. We were given the option of taking our breakfast up there, too, but never got round to it. Breakfast was excellent with a really good range of different things.
The room was small but comfortable and there was a safe and a kettle and coffee/tea.
Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. There is a lovely lounge area next to reception with very comfy chairs and a small library of books, and we were offered tea and coffee when waiting for a shuttle one day.
I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here; I wish we had stayed longer.

Family suite with 2 rooms in an apartment configuration was really great with my 2 kids (2 & 4 years old).
The hotel is centrally located near the Blue Mosque so there was no need for extensive taxi rides or long walks - it is out the door and 500 meters into the action.
WiFi was great too - I needed to do some work with VOIP calls and it was great throughout the hotel though I chose to work in the lobby.
The staff were so friendly and generous with a wonderful atmosphere.
We will be back for sure!

Great buffet breakfast.
There are some stray dogs in the area which bark at night (but this is Istanbul)

Lovely little hotel for a 4 day stay.

Staff are friendly and the hotel is charming and quirky with lovely resident cats to meet.

A great location only 5-7 minutes from Sultanahmet, however be mindful that the hotel is on a relatively steep incline to and from attractions so this may be a concern if you have mobility issues.

Room was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and clean.

The only welcome addition would have been better lighting as it was quite dark getting ready to go out in the evenings even with all the lights.

Breakfast was included but wasn’t to our taste.

Staff were so friendly and helpful and always said hello and goodbye when you were entering or leaving the hotel, and were more than happy to give us directions when asked.

It was really good value for money, especially as our stay was over the whole of Eid.

I stayed in Rumours inn on 26th until 29th January for 3 nights and then we went to Antalya but then we came back to Rumours inn on 02nd until 04th of February. I had a wonderful experience in this hotel. Small hotel, but i love it. The staffs were so helpful and extremely nice people. Sarkan is the most humble person, He was so helpful with me and my fiance. Also Ferdi, Ali and the last one i forgot the name, the staff with Glasses. They helped us also to book the flight to Antalya and for the return. They organized our trip so well. The Breakfast also so good and healthy. I love everything they served there. The room was so clean and tidy. And they have also balcony on the rooftop and the view was soooooo Amazing Beautiful. You can see the sea, the best time is when it's sunset, it took our breath away. And the location is really near by walking distance to the famous Mosques (Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque) also to the Grand Bazzar and some museums. Now we already miss that place and wish that we could going back there again one day.

I have stayed at this hotel in april (3nights) - initially we reserved a triple room but upon arrinving we were upgraded to an apartment (2 rooms, 1 bathroom, terrace). The hotel is very close to Blue moqgue and aprox 10min walking to Big bazaar. The staff was very nice and helpful - they explained a bit the main city attractions, helped with booking the Bosforous cruise etc. We also booked with them the airport transfer (50euro/3pers/1way) . The breakfast was ok, enough food selection to have what to choose from. I reccomemded.

The hotel has an excellent location. It's easy walking distance to the major sights in the area but on a quiet side street. Check-in was easy and everyone was friendly. We had a twin room which was on the small side but the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could use a good scrubbing and the toilet made weird noises but it worked for us. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options. The hotel has a great terrace where you can watch the ships waiting to unload their cargo. There were plenty of small markets and restaurants in the area. If you survive the ride from the airport to the hotel, you will find it is a fine place to stay.

We moved to this hotel because our first hotel couldn't accommodate us for 3 nights, which was a bit of a shame. We only had 1 night here, we arrived with our bags way before check-in as we wanted to hit the bazaars. The room we had booked wasn't ready, which was cool so he offered us an alternative and an early check-in at no extra cost.

The room was really quite small for 2 adults and 2 cases. The photos (which led us to book this hotel) don't quite live up to expectation but it was an ok room.

The location is excellent, and you are within walking distance of all of the main attractions. It was quiet at night, we've read good things about the breakfast but unfortunately, we had to leave too early to try it.

The roof terrace is big and looked like a great place to hang out with a drink in the evening. In summary its a good hotel, a good value for money.

Very good location, just 3 minutes walking to Sultanahmet square, 15 minutes walking to Grand Bazaar, 7 minutes walking to tram station. Hotel is located in city center but it's very quiet area. We had very pleasant evening on opened terrace on the roof. Staff is amazingly friendly. We really enjoyed our staying here and highly recommend this hotel

We selected it because it has 9.0 on Booking. Well, indeed is a clean nice hotel and well located. It close to all main attractions of Istanbul and to tram stop. To be improved- breakfast. It was small and cold. If to fix it it might be a good deal

Hi. I came in through Ataturk airport and used a company called Safe Airport Transfer. It cost me €23 each way. I was a bit nervous to use them, but they had some good reviews and they did not require upfront payment. I was travelling on my own and had never been to Istanbul before so did not want the stress of navigating through public transport even though it would have been cheaper. They had a meeting point at the airport where a guy was holding a sign with their logo on, and for the return leg I got the hotel to phone them and remind them to pick me up when I needed to travel back. The only thing I would recommend is that you have the exact money for the driver, and I also only paid each way once they had taken me and not the return trip upfront as I had read reviews about drivers not giving change etc. You book on line, they send you a confirmation e-mail, and then you just find them at the airport and only pay the driver when he drops you off. I see that they do transfers from Gokcen but the rate looks around €55 each way, so it is obviously further. If you google Safe Airport Transfer Istanbul you will find their website

I would like to have a room with balcony and views. Do you have elevator? and wifi in the rooms ? Thanks
Answer from Ulysses F

Hello Marta If you want a room with balcony you have to choose the superior ones, but none of them have a fully open view. You will have views from the street, buldings arround and, bettwen them you can see the Marmara Sea. But dispite the view from the room's balcony is not that great, it is allways good to have your own balcony to relax after a long day. This kind of rooms are in the third floor, and they do not have elevator. The wifi is ok in the rooms and in the public areas. But I can say that the Rummors In is a great hotel, near the mainly atractions, transports and restaurants, but it is located in a small and quiet street. It cold be a little hard to find, so if you choose this hotel bring the phone number if you need to contact them. Have a great trip!
