We stayed 2 months in January and visited Istanbul. The hotel was as expected, it had flows. Staff were helpful enough, as we had a small incident. Bathroom door got locked and they solved it in 15 minutes or so. The room was pretty small, with an old style design. Bathroom was a bit dated, too. The most annoying thing... More

If i go to istanbul, Id be staying here again definitely. A great Thank You to the two managers whose services were there for us 24.7 (in june 2015), especially the one who liked Amir Khan :D Their friendliness made the 3 day stay more fun. The environment was friendly and rooms were comfortable; not that spacious though. Location was... More

The location is very good for taking the tram and Metro. Near to eating places. The room we got was not as per what we booked and as indicated on the net. It was just a small room converted to accommodate 2 adult and 2 children. It was very small, and not soundproof. We can literally hear the music every... More

This is a central location to most areas and is in the "textile" area I think as they're are clothing shops galore. Nevertheless the hotel is quaint but dated. The walls are paper-thin. Our next door neighbors had kids that were were screaming from 6am so not pleasant. We were on the street side and it was lovely to hear... More

We stayed here for 2 nights ( 2 double rooms for the 4 of us) and can say that it was an average experience. The hotel was clean and functional and Breakfast was simple and adequate. The rooms and décor were dark and dimly lit- overall nothing flash really. The worst element was the fact that this hotel was situated... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
