I’ve stayed in a ton of hotels around Karaköy, Galata, Eminönü, and Beyolgu, and this one was my absolute favorite. Other places have had shady front desk and management, prolly jaded from tourists, but Zeynep the manager and the entire staff are extremely professional, calm, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are renovated industrial style, big windows with nice light, high ceilings, clean and smell good, no lingering smoke smell like other hotels can have. The breakfasts are great too and best part is you’re smack in the middle of galata bridge and tower, so you can walk to istiklal, both bazaars, and everything in between. I’ll probably book here the rest of my trips to İstanbul. 😎

My first time in Istanbul went for surgery, my dr.Mert secor referred me there affiliated hotel , Bankerhan,he then had hotel manager , zenep reach out to me, and set up reservations for hotel , transportation from airport and to and from hospital, Zeynep and staff was so accommodating!! Whatever we wanted they went out their way to accommodate us!! And most of staff spoke perfect English! The hotel was beautiful!! And in popular area where we could walk to many of stores and it was safe. I would stay up late outside and drink tea/Turkish coffee.I would definitely return to Istanbul and Highly recommend Bankerhan hotel, if you’re looking for safety! Cleanliness, and friendly staff, most of whom I call friends now, then stay at Bankerhan!! Oh they also serve a beautiful breakfast buffet every morning and also have wifi!!…

This should probably be considered a "boutique hotel" since the number of rooms is rather small. It is midway between the Galata Tower and the Galata Bridge, less than ten minutes from the bridge since that is downhill; probably 10-12 minutes uphill to the tower. The facility is modest, the rooms (and bathroom) a bit small, but the staff—Kerem Caliskan and Tahsin—are exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is not lavish, but all the necessities are there in more than adequate supply. Room was quiet and perfectly clean. Although the website says reservations require advance payment we corresponded directly with Kerem (info@bankerhanhotel.com) who confirmed our reservation for two rooms with no advance deposit, payment on departure. They also arranged roundtrip airport pickup and delivery at a reasonable price. This is an excellent location for people who want to be a bit out of the highly touristed area of Sultanahmet, though people with limited time may still prefer to be in the Old Town.…

Excellent place to stay in Istanbul. Super friendly staff, very clean nicely finish rooms ( not super big size but sufficient). Perfect location to experience the city. ( funny fact- the street is picturesque and apparently lucky for newly weds so you can see few couples each day with photo crews). Breakfast very tasty. If you ask they fix for you killer gin and tonic :) Note: If you are older and not very fit do not go for "oriental" room, cool experience but for younger people. If you are drop off by the taxi or car getting to hotel is a challenge for a driver ( old town narrow streets ( may one way). To make easy ask to be drop of at the bottom of Kamondo Stairs, walk up turn right and hotel is 50 m away.

Nothing bad to say about this hotel - the location, the price, the staff, the cleanliness, and of course, the breakfast buffet. It is an ~ 10 minute walk to the southside of the river, and from there it depends what you want to see. As respects this hotel's neighborhood, about five minutes north there are many restaurants and cafes where you can catch a Turkish coffee and bakery before starting your day (if you skip the breakfast buffet).

Even before getting there,we were already excited as Zeynap kept open communication with us. She arranged all our transportation from day one till our last day. The Room was so cozy and customer care were excellent Breakfast was great and we enjoyed it a lot! Tea and water were offered to us for free anytime we asked for . We would definitely go back again. The best hotel I've stayed at. The staff, the catering services are perfect. In addition to these, Istiklal Cadde so close. many different attractions and bazaars nearby. Safe area. I live in Finland and have been to Istanbul many times. And I can say that I don't and can't go anywhere else but Bankerhan. I highly recommend. I especially thank the hotel manager Zeyneb hanim. Who is really helpful and a kind person.
