• First of all, this is not a four star hotel as mentioned on booking websites. Considering the facilities they have, it is 3 star at max. Maybe the extra star is for its location and great staff.
• As I pointed out earlier that it is a three star hotel, doesn’t mean it’s not good enough. It is a very comfortable and well located hotel. It really felt like home to us.
• Location is excellent, hardly two minutes walk to Taksim. Surrounded by restaurants and shops. You don’t have to walk a steep or narrow alley, which is quite common in Istanbul. And best part is, in-spite of being located in central area, rooms are quite with no noise coming from outside.
• One of our rooms was too small (though we booked same kind of rooms) but we never complained as we were there just to sleep.
• Rooms were cleaned and bed sheets and towels changed daily. Very good housekeeping.
• Breakfast was good but it was mostly Turkish. Food was fresh and delicious. However, it would be nice to add croissants and pasteries to cater to all tastes. Lady chef was very pleasant and welcoming. She even provided halwa when I pointed out lack of something sweet in the menu.
• Staff are good and helpful. They offered us tea/coffee on return to the hotel. One of the staff members at night duty demanded to pay for the coffee. 10-20 liras is not a big deal but is against the hospitality rules as per their claim of being a 4 star hotel and kind of leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
• Here I would like to make a special mention of Mr. Basel. He made every possible effort to make us feel at home. Guided us for our excursions and arranged us airport drop off. He is truly an asset for this hotel. Thank you so much for your help and for making our trip so nice. His service and hospitality deserves five stars.
• Overall nice comfortable but basic hotel with no frills attached. Would love to stay again.
Breakfast was good not so much, I expect more better.
The biggest problem is not changing the bed sheets during the stay.
The staff were kind and helpful so you can ask them to help you in every case.
Finally it was good.
Great customer service and delicious breakfast.
Thanks to Mr. Bassel and Mr. Mehmet for all their service.
Poor outside appearance, rubbish room views and staff with absolutely no understanding of english is just the start.
Rooms are not clean at all, towels are in very poor condition, towel holder is broken, half of the lamps are not working, there is only water in the mini bar, hair and stains are everywhere, even some stuff from the last guests are still in the closet, disposal slippers are not clean and seems to be washed and repack.
Don’t even think of choosing this place.
All the pictures are either fake or old, this place is not even close to the one you see in the pictures.
Hotel photos are not the same as reality and building and all amenities and equipment are too old. Every day we requested to clean the room but the pillow sheet didn’t change for two nights. Also the towels in the bathroom were creepy and got torn. When I showed them to the receptionist, he said that I will check and I didn’t even hear the word sorry!!
Two stars are only for the location where is close to Taksim square and the employee in the kitchen for breakfast who is very kind.
I don’t recommend it if you can pay higher prices.
very poor breakfast, not changing bed sheet every day, very bad and unprofessional service, and I strongly beloved the working staffs have not had any hotel hospitality knowledge.
Do not trust this Hotel photos at all and this is NOT a four stars Hotel. May I say this is 1 star Hotel.
They stored baggage on staircase.
Do NOT waste your money.
We booked 2 rooms (deluxe room WOW!!!) and immediately after checking in I couldn't believe that we had wasted our money like that.
The room was a disaster! Very dirty and unhygienic. There was mold and dirt on every corner. The bathroom was like a toilet on the highway, all the pipes were clogged. The toilet was not clean.
The duvets and covers were so dirty that you couldn't sleep on them
Needless to say we could not spend a night there and left that very evening. The staff didnt care a bit about us leaving in fact they said "enjoy your stay".
I would recommend avoiding this place as there are plenty of better hotels around Taksim which look better and are better placed than this shabby hotel in front of the mouldy wall.
