Comfortable hotel with a distinct character and friendly, helpful staff.

All the earlier reviews are spot on - it’s a lovely old Templar building, that’s been restored to provide modern comforts without loosing the old charm. There are pictures in the lobby of the founding family and old Haifa.
The rooms are big and nice,...More
I stayed here for 4 nights, and was not impressed with the hotel. It wasn't horrible, but it wouldn't be my choice next time I come. Here's a summary of the things that weren't great (all minor).

We were glad to leave. Two positives are the location and the breakfast.
Be aware that you do not want to be on the ground floor as it is really the basement. If you are from outside of Israel;if this is your first visit to Haifa;be...More
Stayed here for two nights in August 2018 -- it was a great find. The building is an historic old German templar structure, and the rooms have both modern conveniences (good cable, jacuzzi) and the charm of a century ago. it's fun to look at...More
The Colony Hotel Haifa is situated in the restored historic center of Haifa, in a unique preserved building, that was completely renovated in 2009 into a boutique hotel offering 40 luxurious rooms of the highest design standards. The hotel is located only 300 m from the world famous Baha’i Gardens which is one of the World Heritage Cultural sites. Next to the hotel are restaurants, cafes and a shopping mall, and it is only a short distance from the sea.

Only street parking, and it is very limited. I remember that the bedding was generous and the bed was quite comfortable but there were only two of us and we are of average height. I'm not sure what they would provide for a third person in the room. However, I found the staff very accommodating and friendly. I'm sure that you could work things out if there were to be an issue. It's a very nice boutique hotel. No complaints whatsoever about it.
