Excellent location and view of Haifa Bay and the city. Room is a decent size, by European standards, and clean. The hotel itself is somewhat dated; the hallway carpet needs refreshing. Breakfast was good, but not on par with the best Israeli hotel breakfasts I’ve had. They couldn’t manage to make an omelet with peppers — both times, they used mushrooms instead (and there were peppers on the buffet, so they were available). Overall, a solid choice, but a step below the best.

The hotel did not honor the printed confirmation price they gave me online and charged $93 more for 3 nights. I am an American citizen and my husband has dual citizenship. The hotel has a new policy that if 1 person in the room has Israeli citizenship, the hotel charges V.A.T. This was not on the website when I booked and this has never happened to us in the 40 years that I’ve been staying in hotels (including Dan) in Israel. The hotel manager gave me a receipt to present at the V.A.T counter at the airport to get that money back, but the woman there said you can only get that tax money back for actual goods. Three nights later, we stayed at the Prima Kings in Jerusalem and did not have to pay V.A.T. Apart from their dishonesty, the bathroom shower design was terrible. The water leaked onto the floor from the glass shower door. The hotel gave us lots of extra towels for the floor and also for the slippery tub. They only had 3 mats for the whole hotel! Not the best location - you have a steep uphill walk to the center to go to restaurants.

The most uncomfortable bed you can possibly sleep on. It doesn't feel clean and as soon as you walk into the hotel it has this heavy perfume kind of smell that is not pleasant. It's an old hotel and outdated. But location is okay with a nice view.

A nice, quiet hotel located near the Louis Promenade and the Bahai gardens. Offers a view over the Haifa bay area. Room was clean and nice. The hotel offers an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was OK. The receptionist (Nahed) was very helpful and nice.

We stayed at the Mirabelle Plaza Haifa in late December and found it to be a perfect option for us. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his wife and had two lovely rooms on the tenth floor. The hotel lobby is charming and there are comfortable couches to sit on and chat, in addition to fresh juices and water with fruit to enjoy for refreshment. The breakfasts were generous and offered a variety of options to choose among. The fresh bread was delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the Ba'Hai Gardens and is walking distance or a short ride to many fabulous restaurants in the area. Be area that Haifa is very hilly and the roads are narrow if you are driving!

This place is a total dump. The room is dirty, it is beyond tired and the staff is incredibly rude. There is no redeeming quality of this place except possibly the restaurant which I am scared to try after everything else I have experienced. This place is a hole in every way. Buyer beware BIG time

The worst night ever. We had room 1019 which is one flight above the street facing the front of the hotel and a full blown construction site. Tractors, cement mixers from early morning. I had joined their Dan members club in the hopes of getting assigned a quiet room but no such luck.

This hotel has now changed ownership multiple times in the past few years and is still struggling to get its act together. Things that were good: descent room, good view, fairly good location Things that were bad: gross carpets throughout entire hotel, mediocre breakfast (relative to Israel's hotel standards), mediocre customer service, no ambiance, small and slow elevators (there are two, and one of them broke on one day resulting in long wait times to get in and out of room) Check in - slow and not customer friendly: we had trouble at the check in for about 45minutes - slow check in and dispute on agreed upon rate/charges that was not resolved. Hallways - gross: Finally we got past check in. When you walk off the elevator to the room, the carpets are stained to their core. It creates a terrible first impression. Two years ago we stayed in the same hotel and had a similar comment and they said they were replacing it, but nothing happened since. It is quite gross. We had an executive room which was large with a view. it was a bit stuffy and not well ventilated but generally good. (The hotel changed flagship from Crowne Plaza to the Dan Hotel chain but that is by name only. They didn't really care to change much else. The cardboard that have hotel-reference phone numbers on them still have the Crowne Plaza logos. it didn't bother us of course, but is just another indication of the lack of chain-pride and care). Breakfast - mediocre: Good Israeli hotels pride themselves in excellent breakfasts, and we did enjoy it in other hotels on our trip. Breakfast here was just adequate. We were up at 8am for breakfast and the dining room was quite. We understood from hotel employees that the dining room gets rowdy later in the morning. Overall: okay experience to just have a place to sleep for a couple of nights. nothing more. way over priced for what you get though.

Good and clean room. I booked a room with shower and the bathroom was spacious with a shower. The room had a marvelous view of the Haifa bay and it's port. The breakfast was very good. A lot of products which where refilled often. Very good BB with the backing of Dan hotels chain.
