The YMCA Three Arches Hotel, with its 152 ft high central bell tower, is a Jerusalem landmark recognized the world over. Designed by the world famous architect of the Empire State Building, the hotel offers a blend of old world charm, friendly hospitality, art works and architectural wonders, together with modern, comfortable accommodations to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay in this remarkable city. The external facade of the hotel bears intricate sculptures and inscriptions in English, Arabic and Hebrew reflecting the YMCA's historical role as a meeting place and a spiritual haven in this intense and ancient city. The beautiful gardens and lawns, graceful shade trees, and stone pathways around the hotel are open for our guests' strolling pleasure. The hotel's public areas feature high-ceiling halls and walls often lined with colorful modern works of Israeli and Palestinian artists. The elegant Archibald C. Harte Restaurant restaurant serves culinary delights to our guests, with its garden terrace a delightful oasis in the midst of the city on sunny days and mild evenings. That same sense of tranquility pervades the hotel's rooms and suites, where guests may relax and gather their strength for days of sightseeing or meetings in bustling Jerusalem. The ancient Jaffa Gate, main entrance to the fascinating walled Old City, is just a few minutes' walk away, as are shops, vibrant cafes and restaurants as well as the cultural attractions and night life of the modern metropolis. Three Arches Hotel awaits your arrival, at the very heart of Jerusalem, where peace and quiet reigns, with a pervasive sense of welcome and well-being.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved the YMCA Three Arches Hotel! It's an oasis of beauty, calm, and coexistence in an intense and often conflict-filled city. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable. The staff are friendly, helpful, and are comfortable in English, Hebrew, and Arabic. The rooms are very comfortable. We loved seeing the children in the multi-ethnic preschool playing in the playground below our window. And the location is great - easy foot access to the Old City and to the center of West Jerusalem. Only minor negative: the breakfast cost more that we felt necessary to pay.

Super comfortable accommodations, terrific bathroom, shower, and tub. Great location. All of that, and I’d still have to say that the highlight was the staff - from the front desk, to the breakfast staff, to the woman who cleaned my room each day. I really had a wonderful stay!

The Jerusalem YMCA is a landmark. It brings together Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The Three Arches Hotel is wonderful, and the services are notable. You can also get an enjoyable cup of tea or coffee. It adjoins Jerusalem's Old City, and it's opposite King David Hotel. The Jerusalem YMCA is well worth a visit.

I stayed there again and was equally delighted. To a person, those working there were most pleasant and very helpful. The room was large and very comfortable, and had a great view over the lights into the King David opposite. Breakfast has lots of variety with a terrific coffee machine. Of course, don’t miss the views from the iconic tower! Looking forward to returning and seeing you again MS.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. My stay at 3 Arches was an overall very pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel to others. I was given a free room upgrade without requesting one.

The Jerusalem YMCA dates from the early 20th century to today. It is a striking neo-Byzantine building, and although it isn't ancient, it's a landmark of the Holy Land. It brings together the three great monotheistic religions -- Judaism, Islam and Christianity. The YMCA is directly opposite the iconic King David Hotel. The YMCA is a "must visit," even if you only have a coffee.

We had a lovely time during our 2 night stay here in Jerusalem. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was delightful. The YMCA exercise facilities were great as well. Note … if you need a quiet room, ask for one that faces the back court yard. We were there during a Jewish holiday. The music/parades were in the front of the hotel, and the rooms facing that direction were quite loud. Our room faced the back and we didn’t hear a thing.

Very comfortable and the staff was great! We had several hours before checkin at a second hotel. They stored our luggage for no additional charge. Breakfast was lavish with many choices. The cost was quite reasonable as well.
