Israeli hospitality, beautiful view of the old city walls and David's Citadel. I've lived in Jerusalem and the location cannot be beaten for access to old and new city. Car parking is available and Yossi was very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have another comfy chair as there were 4 adults. We had a wonderful &...

There is no question that the Yemen Moshe area is the most peaceful and relaxing place to stay near the Old City of Jerusalem. Avissar House allows you to settle in and make yourself at home very close to Jaffa Gate and the Okd City. The location is great and Yossi and Varda are terrific hosts who are always willing...

This is a fabulous find not far from the Jaffa Gate in a quiet area. We were upgraded to the top appartment and had a fantastic view from the rooftop patio. If you are looking for a hotel experience in Jerusalem then don't come here. This is how real people live and is a taste of real Jerusalem. It is...

I read the reviews here at TripAdvisor before going and I could believe that this place could be all that great. Would it be possible to so many people to be wrong? Obviously no, and I had a great experience there, yes it is a really incredible place. Best location in Jerusalem, at the best price, all in good conditions....

I chose this guest house based on all the positive reviews it had gotten, and based on pictures on its website. I had a very mixed experience there. I stayed in the Windmill Studio. Pros: Yossi, the owner, and his wife are very friendly and helpful. It is very convenient to the Old City. It is amazingly cheap, considering how...

We booked this guest house for our family trip to Jerusalem and stayed 4 nights. The location is the ultimate -- Yemin Moshe is a beautiful neighborhood and Avissar House is about a 10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate. The owner is very helpful but unintrusive, which suited our group because most of us had been in the city...

Okay, so I'm an addict. Come again and again. But, the thing is, I can't imagine how a hotel can be preferable to this great place. Which has more square footage and much lower prices. It's a place saturated with Jerusalem history. Just ask Yossi about the house, which deserves its own history book. And while you're at it, ask...
