Location is excellent. It is in close proximity of Grand Mosque and Kaaba. The way leading to this hotel from Grand Mosque does not have congested pedestrian walk compared with other routes. It is a clean property with very good ambience.
The basic design of AC plant is defective. I was unwell and wanted room temperature to be around 28 Celsius but the system would keep it around 23 irrespective of whatever I set on room thermostat. Finally I had to get the system switched off for my room. Likewise, most of the power sockets had no power. They were repaired on my complaint. The technical staff was very co-operative and would specially like to appreciate Mr Nasir & Mr Hafiz. Front desk staff was indifferent except for Ms Aaliya. I may mention that I stayed in this hotel twice. Firstly from Feb 1 to 10 and then Feb 15 to 18. Both rooms had same issues.

We stayed in this hotel during the recent hajj season 2022.

The Hyatt Regency runs on well oiled wheels.  It's a luxurious hotel and is centrally located close to the Grand Mosque. The staff, from reception to the restaurant staff to the cleaning staff were always courteous and helpful.

We stayed on the 17th floor and my only gripe is the dirty windows that are really in need of a good cleaning.

We had a half board package and I found both breakfast and dinner buffet limited to  same old, same old every day.  A difference in the food offered would be nice, instead of the same menu day after day.  We loved having coffee at the Starbucks on their ground floor every night after we come back from the Haram Shareef.

All considered, we had a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good location and comfort.

The hotel is beautiful and clean with all necessary amenities in room and conveniently located for easy access to haram. The business centre on ground floor was helpful when I had to print important documents (self service). There is also a gym which was I did not make time to use. Great variety at breakfast on M floor.

Levels C1 to C3 have a veriety of shops including the famous bin dawood supermarket and on C4 a foodcourt which is always packed.

I did however have some disappointing experiences for a hotel of this standard. 1. Out of all the plugs in the room (5033) only one was functional. I reported the incident twice but no action taken. Very inconvenient when you have multiple devices. (All electric sockets are british (3 pins) but the hotel does provide adaptor on request).

2. Internet was not reliable and slow with intermittent disconnections which was quite inconvenient while working.

3. The hotel is super busy at breakfast, thus slow service to clean and re set the tables after use is understandable. However, I observed some sort of discrimination daily whereby staff setting tables would offer services (or not) based on appearance. I am probably wrong in my observation but still even if it was not intended the perception remains. Hope management addresses this by giving adequate training for consistency in service to ALL guests.

Hi I stayed here and only checked out today/ we booked from 23/4-30/4. We arrived later than expected due to delay which the hotel was notified. We booked direct through world of Hyatt; we booked with breakfast once we reached after 20 hours of travelling. We got told breakfast wasn’t included. We had to pay for breakfast. Then we got to the room for our toddler no bed we got told another £250. Then we got call day before leaving that we didn’t have any costs pending. We go to checkout and then we get told we owes them a extra nights stay due to a no show, we got told we paid in full when we arrived. The mistake was made by the colleague and they had awful customer service and the housekeeping was dirty nothing was dusted or replaced unless u asked: hoovered only when asked, for some the convenience outweighs the the other things that matetr but when you have been made to pay over £2000 for just 6 nights it’s a joke. The mgr made empty threats to say the cost would be given to the colleague who made the error. On booking.gon cost £133 per night we got charged £247. He didn’t care they tooo our hard earned money. And no refund was made. Go to Conrad or Hilton do not come here. U will regret the money you you can get better service and more cleanliness elsewhere never staying here again

We selected this based on my good experience at this Hotel as we stayed earlier several times.
This time we booked two different rooms ( Club King & Club Twin) and there was good cooperation of front check in staff ( I think his name is Hassan ) , he gave us concted rooms . The rooms given were not with Wholy Haram view but were good .
The location of the hotel is very good with easy pass to Haram with no complications of different elevators to us while going to Haram as the case in some other hotels.
A praying area is also available in the hotel with view to Haram and good space of praying area.
As I had not requested for meal while booking, the front staff offered us discounted meals either Iftar or Suhoor at the same discounted rate . I agreed for the entire period .
The foods in the restaurant were very good with many varieties of food to select and taste.

As I am frequent gusts at this Hotel, I used to rate it five/five . This time and because of the case with meal request issue I am giving only three/five.
Case 1 , when we requested to change from Suhoor to Iftar , they charged us SR. 40 per person which was not as our understanding that both meal are at the same rate and we can switch between them.
Case 2, we decided last night to cancel the Suhoor . I went to reception the day before morning time, the receptionist staff ( I think his name is Ahmed ) , refused without any argument to cancel caused is not refundable . I tried giving reasons for my request , but without any luck . I said that this additional meal was not requested while booking but subsequently while checking in .

This is my third visit to this hotel; notable improvements have occurred since my last stay. Specifically, I've noticed two significant upgrades:
1) Housekeeping has become remarkably more responsive compared to my previous experiences. The team has made strides in ensuring a cleaner and more comfortable stay.
2) The check-in process has become notably swifter, a welcome change. It's now easier and more efficient to get settled into my room.
However, there are a few areas where further enhancements could make this hotel even better:

1) The tea lounge, while a pleasant place to unwind, could certainly elevate its culinary offerings. I booked the unit with access to the tea lounge. The current food selection feels somewhat limited, especially compared to establishments like the Four Seasons, which offer a more comprehensive range of hot food options.
2) Regarding breakfast, the variety of hot food offerings falls short compared to Hilton Suites. Expanding the breakfast menu would significantly enhance the overall dining experience.
3) A minor environmental concern is the excessive use of small plastic toiletry bottles. It would be more environmentally friendly to consider installing larger, refillable dispensers on the bathroom walls, promoting sustainability without sacrificing convenience.
Last but certainly not least, a critical aspect that requires immediate attention - is customer service. Regrettably, this is where I have to rate my experience a disappointing 1 out of 5. Allow me to elaborate:
I expressed a strong interest in visiting the villa units during my stay to get a firsthand look at the actual rooms since I was already in the hotel. I made this request by calling reception and guest services not once but four times. While someone eventually returned my call, it was disheartening to note that no genuine effort was made to accommodate my request and show me the villa units. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, especially considering my keen interest in potentially booking a stay during the Ramadan period.
This experience starkly contrasts with the Hilton Suites. I vividly recall walking into their lobby shortly after Zuhr when the reception was understandably busy with check-outs. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the immediate assistance I received. I was ushered to the units and the reservation area without delay, and their swift response efficiency and international standards impressed me.

We stayed at this hotel whilst performing Umrah in Makkah. The hotel was a good location at very close proximity to haram. We stayed in the clock tower before which was a nightmare because of access and lifts etc. But this was not an issue at Hyat Regency. The foyer and reception of the hotel was very decadent with lovely flowers. Check in was smooth but oddly the hotel.took away our hair dryers and irons. The hotel iron was far inferior, however we overcame this.

The breakfast was delicious with a great spread of food from different countries. I enjoyed the salad selection and fruits as well as pastries.

I enjoyed the starbucks on the lower ground floor - a good touch.

What was disappointing was the fact that the rooms were not cleaned properly and the rooms were small. The bed linen was not changed during our stay. The toilets and floor was still dirty. The rooms were generally dusty and my mums room was very dusty so much it triggered her asthma and she was awake most of the nights.

However, whenever I asked for anything to the room the service was very good.

So overall fairly pleased with the hotel

The hotel is very well situated about 200m from the start of Haram. The shopping centre around the hotel is very convenient with many great places to eat and shop.

The hotel is beautiful with well proportioned rooms. The breakfast is the best I have ever had, they really go all out.

The service at the hotel is horrible. The staff and management are exceptionally rude and act as if they are doing you a favor. House keeping was 3/10. Room service was beyond pathetic.

The hotel GM tried to rectify the situation after we complained but it was too little too late.

I will never stay there again.

I did not try the club access at Hayatt Regency in Makkah. But I tried in other couple hotels locally and the experience is awful. A boiled water, a box of teabags and empty cups and no one there to help you. Access club will be good in business area to serve business men or in a very touristic areas where many tourists might not like local food. But in other area such as this,it wont be something. The hotel is built above four stories mall, so there are plenty of restaurants, vcafes and a supermarket. All ae easily accessible. I would not take club access here.
