Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is my second stay at the Al Liwan suites. Im really happy to be here I've stayed in many hotels around Doha including the Copthorne hotel opposite Crowne Plaza, which is very nice and rather expensive. I gotta say though, I prefer the Al Liwan suites. The reason being is that the rooms are like self contained apartments. You get a lounge/ diner with kitchen. Including a washing machine. Bathroom and large bedroom. Its great to have the lounge where you can sit and relax and watch the tv. They also have decent wifi so I could facetime my wife every night. The staff are very helpful and really friendly. They are keen to help. I really enjoyed the food on offer in the restaurant as well. Over all......its not the poshest hotel in town, but if you want space to relax and

It was a nice experience,i had in Aliiwan suites. It s located center of doha so we can easily reach any place of doha like city center, Corniche. Restaurant, wifi are good compare to other hotels in doha. I dont see any other suites in qatar for this economy price.

The hotel is located in the heart of Doha. It is near Souq Waqif and easily accessible going to Doha International airport. Th room has everything similar to a house. It has a small functional kitchen , big bedroom and a large lounge area. All of the appliances are there like the electric pot, washing machine and electric stove so guest can feel comportable and do household chores in your own room

Al Liwan has clean and spacious rooms, is in a quiet location so we had a good night's sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful. By taxi in 15 min to/from the airport, however the hotel shuttle is not free anymore (cost 50 QR). All in all an excellent place for a short stay... but if you want to visit Doha center (souq waqif, corniche etc) I'd rather look for a hotel downtown, which are equally reached in 15/20 min from the airport, where you can even walk to the sights and where taxis are abundant. In fact it took us some time to find a taxi around Al Liwan, and coming back from the center late evening it was difficult to find a taxi willing to make the short drive to Al Liwan... However a good choice for an overnight stay!

We stayed for an overnight and used this hotel. The suites were spacious and wifi was provided. The staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to care for us. The location is a distance to see the city and markets but taxis are available, air conditioned and at a reasonable cost. We appreciated that these suites have not become just another hotel in any city in the world. The decor has been made to look middle eastern and the wood finishings are particularly well made. We had a little problem with the shuttle bus - it is only complimentary for one journey to the airport (either arriving or departing). This could be offered in both directions without it being very expensive.

Overall a nice hotel with clean and spacious rooms. A little out the way to city centre but close to Doha International. Breakfast was various and room service was cheap. Internet was included which was great .

even though it is a very reasonable price, the hotel is really oversold. it is old, and the rooms could use a fresh. the kitchen is dirty, beds really hard and breakfast boring. also the area is really bad. only positive thing is that it is very close to the airport.

We chose the hotel for its obvious vicinity to the airport and the fact that they could pick you up with a shuttle bus. We arrived late and the friendly staff helped us with some warm food even though it was 11.30 pm. Regetfully the hotel had missed the fact that we needed extra beds, which they of course managed, but it would have been nicer would they have been there from start. The rooms are of a suite type with a sitting area, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a sleeping room. The interior is a bit worn and cleaning is, regretfully, far from perfect. It's great for people going to the airport early that the breakfast starts already 5 a.m. The problem is only that the noise of the heavy wooden chairs dragged over the tiles of the breakfast room when people come to sit down

I stayed at this hotel for about 3 days as soon as I came to Doha. The Staff Everyone were so friendly. It was a nice change after seeing poker faces everywhere in Oman airport and Doha airport. I was treated with big smiles and loud voices which I thought was great. I was quickly picked up from the airport and escorted to my room. However, they sometimes forgot my small, small requests. The suite I was given a big suite which had two beds and a lounge area with a small pantry, washing machine and a refrigerator. There was a big mirror closet with an iron table. You can dim the lights in the bedroom. The bathroom had a bath tub. It didn't have a stopper [the small rubber lid of the drain] in it. I requested to have one but they forgot it. So I ended up crafting my own stopper
