I booked a bus trip to Copacabana with the travel agency of the hostel. It was said, they pick me up 7:30 am at my hostal. But the driver for the trip never showed up. I tried to call the numbers written on the contract but nobody answered the phone. At 10 am i finally reached somebody. The driver had...

We stayed 3 nights at Hostal Republic. There is an extremely nice courtyard where you can sit and eat breakfast etc. There is even WiFi there. Also we were very happy with the service provided in the reception. Downsides for the hostal was that our room was in quite bad shape. There were holes in the walls and it was...

We picked this place because of the great review it got on lonely planet but I can only assume it is out of date. The rooms are freezing cold although you are able to buy hot water bottles at reception for 30BS. The wifi is temperamental and often drops out. It is not the hotel's fault that they are building...

Really nice hostel in colonial building. Rooms were large, clean & adequate. Shared bathroom was clean with best shower I have had in all 3 months travelling so far! It was hot & powerful. It is quiet even though across road from wild rover. 10 mins walk to plaza San Francisco. Biggest downside was awful breakfast of 1 bread roll...

Rooms very clean and confortable. The breakfast included but it's basic coffee/tea and bread. The staff is friendly and the place very quiet, perfet for who want silence to sleep or just chill on a sunny afternoon.

Spent one night here as I wanted to get a peaceful night sleep and I was staying across the street at Wild Rover. This place was more expensive at 190 Bs per night, No heat, No in room WiFi....Water wasn't hot.....Oh and they lock you in, not really free to come and go

This hostel is awful! It is run-down and temperature of the rooms is freezing. No heating or additional blankets are provided. It is like sleeping outside on a mountain. The cafe area has no atmosphere and the food we ordered was disgusting. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the hostel has good tour connections. Yet they did not...

We tried to get into Wild rover but (luckily) they didn't have a double room for us. Across the road is this beautiful hostel. It is a cheaper option in a Beautiful colonial building with a nice quart yard. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the room was the closest thing to a hotel room we have...

We stayed here as like many travellers the appeal in La Paz seems to be a night out in The Wild Rover hostal. As Republica is just across the road, we went for drinks at Wild Rover and back to our quieter room afterwards. We had read the reviews on trip advisor for this hostal but went against them on...

It looks like we had a similar experience to most other people here. My girlfriend and I decided to stay here due to its proximity to wild rover (where we were previously staying) we always prefer to support local business and stay in places owned by the local people so thought we'd give this place a try. The most notable...
