It is not a typical hostal, as the lady who looks after the place is gone during the day, but that was what appealed to us. We...

We arrived in La Paz after over 24 hours of travelling from the UK. I had booked the hostel via their facebook page 3 weeks earlier and they confirmed our booking. After much difficulty (as the address is not clear) we arrived at the address, ringing the bell and no one answered. We then called the phone numbers several times...

I stayed here for 3 nights in February and I was the only person in the place for most of the time. That said the hostel was clean and quiet, Monica and her family were helpful. There is plenty of space to relax and the kitchen is well equipped. I would have preferred to share the place with other guests...

Stayed here for 3 nights in April having arrived from Arica in Chile (where it's hot!) so found this hostel on the chilly side (the general areas & the showers) when la paz wasn't sunny. However the rooms were lovely, huge beds & the staff (Monica & her mum) were so lovely & helpful. They arranged a taxi collection for...

The place is really lovely. Nice kitchen and chill areas. The people who run the place are so nice and friendly. Help you with all your questions, even though we don't speak spanish and they not English. The rooms are spacious and clean and its not expensive. Would definitely recommend this place.

“The website is a little confusing. There aren't necessarily many private rooms with one bedroom: what happens is that if you book an individual rooms on airbnb like I did, Cesar puts you in one of the rooms with 2 or more beds. Also, sometimes the reservations on the website don't work (I don't think he received one of my earlier ones), so the best thing to do would be to either book on airbnb or perhaps email him directly.”
