Spent five nights here. GOOD = Very clean, modern, comfortable beds, good wifi, great location. Breakfast not included but lots of good spots nearby. BAD = definitely not a social hostel (no common area to speak of), and to make matters worse I found staff very unfriendly/sometimes rude. I'm a 31 year old traveling alone, definitely not looking for a...

I was very lucky to stumble across this hostel. I arrived in Bogota without a room reserved. My taxi driver happened to drive down Calle 12 and I saw Explora. It was pouring rain and I didn't want to walk around looking for a room, so I decided to check it out. I was immediately greeted by Elizabeth at reception....

We were in Bogota for a weekend and stayed at the explora hotel. We found the accommodation comfortable and well located, and the staff at reception were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our trip, offering good advice on things to do and places to see

I stayed in this beautiful hostel for the third time now and just want to say thank you! It's the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a chilled, clean and cozy accomodation in the heart of la Candelaria. The staff is really welcoming and helped me to get even in the non-touristy areas of Bogotá. It's certainly not...

The hostel is very clean and they serve breakfast if you want. The room was small but cosy. The bathroom are also small but clean. There's warm water, that's nice. In the weekend the guest will be very loud and you can hear everything in your room, so if you don't go out, buy some earplugs. We had a nice...

Great hostel in the la candaleria area. Friendly staff, 24h service, clean private rooms, great matrasses en cozy chilling area. Not too crowded. Stayed there at the beginning of our trip and ended it there. 5 stars!

Our room was quite big and clean and we had a hot shower. The reception was opened 24 hours, that makes the place safer. At the back of the hostel you'll find a common place with a kitchen and a smoker's area. It's nicely located in La Candelaria, there're plenty of restaurants, museums and shops nearby. Unfortunately our room had...

Hello Zill. Thank you so much for your recomendation. As you saw, this is a house with historic preservation and we can not make many adjustments. However, we try to control noise after 11 pm and our guests can rest. Thank you very much for having stayed with us and we hope to have you back. Best regards from Bogotá.

Our hostel is located in the heart of la candelaria, the touristic side of bogota. Next to it is a beautiful café where you can have lunch, 200m away are some nice bars and restaurants. Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. There's a room if u want to hang out and a smoker area. The staff was ok,...

La Candelaria was a good location for my first 3 nights in Bogota because a lot of attractions are within walking distance. However, when I return to the city at the end of my trip, I'll choose to stay further north where the nightlife is more alive and the streets feel a little safer. Explora is an excellent choice in...

If you need a bed, you need space, then this is a good option. If you're after something more cosy and homely then head elsewhere. This is well located in La Candelaria, central to all the bars and museums. It is spotlessly clean - I witnessed a lady literally scrubbing everything in the kitchen. Breakfast is basic but good value...
