A lovely stay in the capital PROS: - location: central to the tourist areas of Paramaribo - swimming pool - restaurant inside home. Didn't eat here though, only purchased cold drinks - towel and linens are included - free wifi - strong fan in room to cut the hot heat of Suriname - balcony was a great way to spend...

Great location, nice building and well priced. But if you don't have an air-conditioned room, you have to open your window or you'll suffocate. Problem is they don't have any screens or mosquito nets, so you get eaten alive. Breakfast is over-priced for what you get.

I moved here from another guesthouse because the location looked great, and because of some recommendations here on Tripadvisor. Let's stat with what is good: location, friendly and helpful staff. There's a nice, small pool. The internet worked well. The negative: I took a room without air conditioning. It had a fan but I did not realize there would be no...

Location, location, location .... and in my case, a little history. I chose the guesthouse for a number of reasons; I have driven past is on a number of occasions and loved the building - its location is superb and the premises quirky. It was also the base for a fine writer, John Gimlette, whose book "The Wild Coast" remains...

For us absolutelly adequate pension for overnights, few minutes of waterfront. Yes, an older colonial building and many many things to repair, replace, but very quit place, even small pool for relax. Maybe the breakfasts could be better... Staff very helpful with service, booking of taxi, tour, airport transfer. Pension for budget travellers, as younger, as retirees.

If you want to stay in Paramaribo downtown, near everything you need, that's the place. The bedrooms are quite basic, with no air condition, but fan. They sell the breakfast but what they serve does not worth the price they charge. They speak English clearly and are gentle. Once back in Paramaribo, I will certainly stay there again. It is...
