Friendly staff and great basic services. My room was comfortable and clean. Air-conditioning with cold water shower. Shared kitchen and lounge area. Nice view over the ocean. 24 hours security. Noisy on Friday nights with a dance-club next door, but all-in-all a neat little guest house up on a hill.

St Agnes is a sweet little guest house perched on top of a hill looking over the water. There are star fruit trees out the front and a balcony where you can watch the ships go by. It was actually really peaceful and I felt completely safe, which was helped in no small part by the wonderful woman who runs... More

This accommodation is perfect for budget travelers. Rooms are big and come with closet space and table and own bathroom. Has a nice breeze and fans, and has a good view. Only a short walk into town, or cheap taxi ride. West wing is the best, East wing would have noise from the pub next door called "House of Cheifs".... More

All in all a pleasant place to stay. We stayed in a twin room for 1 night. The staff were very helpful and kind. It's what you pay for, so it is basic (not hot showers etc) but pleasantly clean. On the far side was a club which was very noisy (however I was so knackered from the flight so... More

I regularly travel to Solomon Islands and generally stay here, often for weeks at a time. The kitchens are always clean; the staff are all lovely; and I like having people to hang out with in the evening rather than be stuck on my own in a hotel room. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. I've always had access... More

Clean rooms in a nice quiet house run by friendly local women. Best room is room 4 in the west wing as it has windows facing outside, not the common room, which affords views over the markets and harbour front. The winner is the private bathroom, that is the reason I chose this over Chester resthouse (which was the same... More

I have stayed at St Agnes many times since it was first opened by the Mothers' Union about 10 years ago. It has 2 upstairs wings, each with 4 en-suite rooms, a shared kitchen and a TV lounge with comfortable seating, as well as 2 self-contained studios downstairs, which are often let for medium to long term. There is no... More

I stayed twice on the east wing, and both times I was the only non Solomon-Islander in that section, so it a wonderful place to meet with locals and chat about life. The location is excellent, a short walk down a steep hill to the main shopping street. It has probably the best location of all guest houses, with a... More

Great friendly hosts who you'll fall in love with, they have all your basic requirements taken care of (except for hot showers, but really, considering the temperature you don't exactly need them!) and fantastic location! If you're on a budget but want to make sure everything is safe and taken care of, definitely go here.
