Great Shan food restaurant/cafe upstairs. It's a long walk up the stairs but it's worth it, for a nice local neighbourhood 5th floor cozy roof top lounge and restaurant. Very small and local, un-pretentious and always seems up chatting with the lovely owner. It's a simple menu, but food is great. This is also a guest house which is well...

We loved it here! It has a convenient location. The rooftop restaurant has amazing views & food. We were so, so happy with the breakfast + smoothies (which were included!) The aircon worked really well in our room and the bed was very comfortable!

I can highly recommend staying at Wai Wai's. It's not directly located in the center but in a rather local area. Lots of life and typical shops around (by that I don't mean noise). You get downtown by taxi for 2000-3000 kyat very easily. The rooms are clean and ours was quite spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful!...

Wai wai's is a simple guesthouse that is clean and pleasant. Shan noodles on the rooftop are a must! This place was great as it is run by the most genuine, delightful people and you can't help but leave with a smile on your face.

I spent just a night here but for my first night in the country after flying in, it was perfect. The room was fine (double with private bathroom) - nothing luxurious but clean, good aircon and ok for what I was paying. A member of the team lugged my heavy bag up several flights of stairs to my room and...

This is just a wonderful place to eat in Yangon. At the terrace restaurant (with few tables) you are suddenly outside of the busy and noisy city and you find yourself in a small haven with the most gracious people to serve you very good Shan food, original, pure and self made from grandmothers recipes. I had to go back...

I spent 2 nights there, and the two nights were great. The people working there were always smiling and helpful. Very professional. I arrived early from a night bus at 7am and they accepted early check in and even offered breakfast! Closer to the airport than downtown

Hotels in Yangon are expensive. Let's face it. This place was $60 and was very basic. I asked for a lower floor room so we didn't have too many stairs. There is no elevator. They put us up two floors and when I mentioned I has asked for a low floor, they came and moved us back down. One of...

Nice hotel near the Shwedagon Pagoda. Basic facilities but large clean rooms with a good hot water shower. Local staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice roof terrace, though you have to lean a bit to see the Pagoda. Breakfast has a choice of western and Asian. Do note they do not have a lift although they...

After the initial confusion of booking the boutique but wanting to stay at wai wais place (this was sorted very quickly by the staff and they took us in a taxi to the other location for free) we had a great stay. Location is good for the the pagoda, rooms very spacious and clean and the staff could not have...
