We were informed that this was a 4 star hotel. Not so, in fact the Hotel Grand United (Ahlone Branch) it far from 4 stars. Poor location only thing close in the Chinese embassy, most everything else is a taxi ride away.

Nice mid-range hotel, good breakfast, in a nice uncrowded area, yet fairly close to everything! Rooms are ok, could use some upgrades. Some items can be replaced. Not everything works perfectly, but acceptable.

Welcoming hotel close to centre around 30 minutes from airport. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities and service good. Rooms a bit dated but entirely functional. Good WiFi throughout. Geared to tourist groups

Stayed 2 nights and were given an upgrade to junior suite on 10 floor. Felt very privileged. Amazing view of Shwedagon Pagoda. Great location to temples, town and shops. Very polite staff. Food very good. Definitely recommend.

the others have answered - it's worth getting $20 travel adapters for your devices but this hotel does allow you to plug in any socket.
