Positive stuff: the rooftop pool is beautiful! Although it is small and the water is a bit cool, it is stylish and clean. Our room overlooked a quiet neighbourhood and we had a little balcony so I could hang out our laundry to dry on the drying rack. There is a shared kitchen and washers and dryers on every floor. OK breakfast. Decent and clean and air-conditioned workout facility.
Negative stuff: the neighbourhood is run down and it smells. There are no nice restaurants in the area and it's a poor place to walk, due to heavy car pollution. Although the restaurant looks decent, menu does not cater to any sort of western preferences.

If you are looking for a modern & fully equipped serviced apartment & hotel that value for your expenses, I highly recommend this hotel. Not only room facilities are new, but also offer the gym and tiny lovely swimming pool on the roof top. Services here are also incomparable excellent with nice hospitality from all staffs. Location is one of the major advantages, just by walk to Shwe Dagon Pagoda & Kan Daw Gyi park (or only 15mins to downtown). Hotel is away from the road, so you can enjoy quality sleep. Only breakfast is just fair in taste and less variety in each day.

I stayed for one night as a transit in yangon. We got a room at 1st floor. The view was blocked by a building but I wouldn't complain. Since I was in between flights, I just wanted to rest well. The only thing that's really uncomfortable is the noise. The rooms are not soundproof especially around the corridor. You can hear people coming in and out of their rooms all the time, kids running around and somebody was playing really loud music which disturb me a lot. I couldn't relax at all. There were a lot of mess along the corridor. Maybe because it was crowded during my stay. I noticed this place online and always thought it would be a nice quiet place so my expectations were high on that. If I have to stay in Yangon, I probably wouldn't choose this place during peak season due to the crowd.

On the plus side. The rooftop pool is nice (when it's not crowded) The reception was friendly. The bed is comfortable. Good value for pricing.

Advise : Ask for rooms at higher floor.

We needed a serviced apartment for staying in Yangon twice for a total of about 10 nights. We wanted the ability to do our own laundry as we would be travelling up country also for about 10 days. A few sincere and hopefully constructive recommendations - our toilet wasn't working (completely blocked!). When we reported it, the staff came to fix it, but also asked us not to flush toilet paper in the WC! We had to explain that the sole purpose of the WC is to flush down toilet paper (and the waste). We also explained that hotel guests should not be told to put toilet paper in the little waste bins in the bath room, as that would be GROSS! They moved us to another room where the toilet was functioning, but the washer in that room wasn't, so they had to swap out the washer with another unit from the room next door. Speaking of laundry - electricity went out (a city wide problem, not the hotel's fault) and they have a generator. However, their generator couldn't support the washer/dryer so the W/D did not work during the power outage. We were out of clean clothes and couldn't do laundry which defeated the purpose of us booking a serviced apartment with a W/D. Worse yet, the generator ran out of fuel so no electricity while the guys went out to get more fuel. This happened a few times during the few days of power outage. It is difficult to blame the staff as they were very young, eager to please, but seemed like they were not getting appropriate training and support from hotel management. The restaurant was ok, breakfasts were not brilliant (basic rule - keep the food warm!), and the restaurant staff needs to be trained to smile and be more sociable (come on guys, show that famous Burmese hospitality and warmth!)

Location was great for us (it will vary for others depending on your purpose) and the hotel has all necessary amenities for a serviced apartment and the rooms were spacious. They just need to get with the program, up their game to meet international standards, and properly train their staff and support the staff!

Especially now with the Covid problem, also a good idea to regularly wipe and disinfect all your surfaces, esp doors and door handles, elevator control panels and railings, etc. Hope this is helpful and that you don’t take this the wrong way.

I stayed at this Hotel for my Birthday Celebration and I regret alot for choosing this hotel. I rented 1 One bedroom studio room & 2 premium deluxe rooms. I invited some of my friends over to celebrate my Birthday who are not staying for the night. At the reception, they stopped my friends and ask how long are they going to stay in the room & they said they allow only 15 minutes for free. They said they will charge 10000 per person if my friends stay in the room for more than 15mins. A few minutes later, they called and said they charge 15000 per person.I have stayed in most of the five stars hotel in Yangon and I never have experienced like this nonsense kind of situation. First I told them that I rented big room for my Birthday celebration but my friends are not sleeping in the room. I didn’t want any problem, so I told them I’ll pay 15000 per person. Later then they called and said they will give 2persons free and I have to pay for the rest! This is not the 1st time I visited this hotel. Last year my friend celebrated her BD and we didn’t have to pay for any extra money. They should’ve told me about the policy in advance when I did the reservation. It was a very bad experience for me & will never come again to this hotel for sure!!!!!

Very little responsibility and a complete disregard for the needs of the client.
My time at the Clover Suites was a living hell for me.
While we make complaints about the room temperature and the air conditioning, they just speak with the staff and then take appropriate action.
However, the air conditioner is still not operating properly.

The air conditioning leaves much to be desired.

We were spend the entire night in conditions with insufficient air ventilation and cooling.

Even after we complained again in the morning, they moved us about 10 in the morning to a different room.

The hotel has a 12 AM check-out time for guests.

The worst part is that their employees engage in backbiting and gossiping about their customers, who, as a result, receive subpar service from them.

In addition to this, the quality of the internet connection is pretty low, and we are unable to use our mobile data in the room.

The worst possible customer service, with no responsibility taken.

We were looking for a place to relax during weekend and clover was right choice. Comfort bed , breakfast is just Ok (understood during covid period) , pool on 5th floor was truly relax (need some shade around). Wifi need to improve, A little problem we had was credit card machine while we settled payment( sadly we tried 3 cards and final solution was KBZ pay , although we prefer Visa :(. However, our stay wasn’t disappointed, will return next time.

Honestly the hotel is nice and the location good (close to the main pagoda by taxi) We only stayed for one night but inside the room there was this very distinctive smell that we couldn't figure out (it is a new build). The smell was so strong that we couldn't sleep properly at nught and afterwards everything tasted like it. It is a real shame. The staff were very kind and helpful though, but would not stay there again.

We chose the Clover Suites as we would be spending 4 nights, then leaving for 10 nights and then staying for another 5 nights before traveling for another 2 weeks. It was great to have the washer and dryer in the apartment so that we could prepare for our travels. But when the electricity went out and the back up generator did not work it was very frustrating as we could no longer use them. The plumbing in the bathrooms was not very stellar and we had to move to another room after a problem with the toilet could not be fixed.

There was a new building on the early stages of construction with work going on through the night so request a room on the other side.

The staff were very young but tried their best to help us with questions and concerns that we had but there seemed to be a lack of management on site to support them.

The breakfast was sufficient with many choices although the hot plates tended not to be turned on all the time causing the food to be cold.

The location is within walking distance to Shwedagon pagoda, Kandawgyi lake, Bogyoke Aung San museum and the Myanmar Motion Picture museum.

Just completed a two week stay in a 1BR suite. Excellent location in Central Yangon within walking distance of Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgi Lake. The hotel is about 2 years old and spotless. My suite was large and well equipped (including a kitchenette); quality all around. Very nice rooftop pool, modern gym, and excellent breakfast with both Western and Asian choices. Staff speaks English. All around a great experience and I highly recommended it.
