Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

Stay from Feb 14-17. A very pleasant check-in and check-out staff with special attention to J Park. We were placed in a 15th floor with a Queen Bed room. The room was nice and cleaned every day. A short walk to the subway station and to the main shopping area of Myeongdong.

I also arrived earlier than the check-in time, and I then asked if they could keep my luggage in the reception. The guy in the reception didn’t seem to like the idea (probably because of safety reasons) but instead made sure that I could check in earlier! I don’t know if you will be able to check in super early in the morning, but I’m sure you can come to an agreement with the hotel! Otherwise there are lockers you can pay for at the Myeongdong Station nearby the hotel!

Hi, you can let the limousine bus driver know at the airport before boarding. Can request that he notify you upon reaching and when to alight. You can also email the hotel and they will also provide you directions from the airport to the hotel. Hope it helps. :)
