3 of us stayed here for a night when visiting Seoul. We got a double bed and twin for $60USD. What an incredible bargain! The hotel is new, modern and put together very well. The bed was comfortable, the AC unit strong and the bathroom was excellent, new and clean. There were even 2 sinks; one in the bathroom and another in the room itself. The room wasn't large by any means, but you're there to sleep or rest. Lastly, the front desk spoke english which was incredibly helpful. There was an english speaker at check in and the next morning at check out. The breakfast buffet was also above expectation - scrambled eggs, fried rice, potato wedges, salad greens, some fruit and juices. All this in a new modern hotel with english speakers and surprising morning buffet for $60USD is impressive! Perhaps it is due to not being in the city center, but we enjoyed a different part of Seoul for the weekend.

First, please note: there are two hotels in this area that share very similar names! If you are looking at information about a hotel named CS Seoul that has photos of rooms featuring zebra print, and is located near the Bulgwang subway station - that is NOT this hotel. Don't get confused and go to the wrong place!

Now that you know for sure which hotel I'm talking about - I can't recommend it enough. The proximity to Nokbeon station makes getting around the city a breeze. It's very easy to find - just take exit 3. If you take the stairs, immediately turn around and walk the opposite direction. If you take the elevator, walk straight ahead. You'll see the hotel just ahead on your right - it's very tall and says "HOTEL" on the side in brightly-lit letters. It is a slight uphill walk but otherwise it's very easy and short.

Everything at the CS Seoul was clean and comfortable. The hotel seemed quite new, and all the furnishings were modern. The amenity kit provided was very nice, and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept on in Seoul in 5 trips. The TV had a very nice selection of channels including BBC Entertainment and a handful of other stations in English. The room was very quiet and I was not disturbed by noise during my stay at all. The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel, instead opting for a Paris Baguette about 7 minutes away. There didn't seem to be a lot of restaurants in the area, but there is a Papa John's pizza just across the street.

Overall, the CS Seoul is a little off the beaten path but if you're trying to avoid the love motel scene, it's a great choice. Highly recommend!

Hotel is clean, but has very small rooms.
Food in breakfast is average.
Surrounding area has a few shops but you will need to walk for about 1 km.
The staff is friendly though.
Away from main city so will have to travel for any sight seeing or market place.

I've spent 3 nights for this hotel and it was a great experience here in Seoul.
ROOM :: 9/10
-Nothing much to say, I can stay here for a week. It looks better than the price.
-The only weakness is it has not many choices for TV program.
-They've prepared you a toiletries (Shower gel, Shampoo, Rinse, Towels, Hair dryer etc.)
-You can set all in your room with just only 1 remote!!
LOCATION :: 8/10
-It's less than 200m. to subway ,easy for travel.
-Just a bit far from downtown or city center.
-Nearest mini mart is about 10 minutes walk.
HOTEL :: 7/10
-Elevator doors close really fast so watch out.
-Not much choices for breakfast but it's okay anyway.

It is surprisingly good enough for me and my family. We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights and everything is fine. The hotel staff speaks English and are willing to help out whenever is needed. Although there is room for improvement for the breakfast menu.

Conclusion: Great hotel when on a budget.

Nice hotel to stay if you don't want to stay in the city centre. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. You can control the TV, lights and air con from one remote. Very handy! The rooms are a bit small and so not much room if you wanna do some work. Nokboen station (line 3) is only 3 minutes walk away. Not much around this station.
If you like nature there are stairs to a trail beside the hotel.

Staff are friendly and most speak good enough English.

Traveled to Seoul for pleasure and found this slightly out of town hotel to be ideal. It was very well priced and is located a short 3 minute walk to the Nokbeon metro station. This is ideal as it only takes around 30 minutes on the metro to get anywhere around Seoul and the local sights for minimal charge. The local area also has enough supermarkets, restaurants, fresh food markets, small retail outlets and a money changer to keep you covered for the everyday life things while touring. If you want to head down to Itaewon for some expat restaurants, coffee shops and more expensive shopping it takes about 30 minutes and maybe $1.50 for one person.
