Mate hotel is not near Hwagok station, but near Kkachisan station. At the lobby they have free coffee, the receptionist can speak english. The room were big and complete like some traveler told us, the only flaw is that when we enter the room it is not cleaned yet, maybe because we had an early check-in, but no problem at all, we can manage. If you want to recharge your gadgets you have to deposit 10,000won at the reception for you to borrow the plug, maybe the plug you have will not fit the electrical socket.
Good experience and good hotel.

Annyonghaseyo!!! Hi i'm Uzaini and i'm from Malaysia. This is my 2nd times here! This time with my wife and childrens. I think the interior room has been renovated since the last 2 years most importantly its still awesome. Free working wifi..a 52" TV with hundreds of channel and kids are love it..awesome. the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom and toilet are very clean. But sorry the M Bar are still the same like the past. A very small bar sometimes need to queue for a table and hardly to move when inside. The foods are very basic compared to donghwa resort. However I still enjoy my 3 nights stay in here. Until then, still highly recommended this hotel for stay.

Free sandwich (but not for foreigner!)
There were free sandwiches in the lobby fridge, which labeled (in Korean) as "Free sandwich--this is part of our service". When I confirmed them whether it was free or not, the receptionist said that the free sandwich was only for Korean, but not for foreigner! After arguing for a while (I had to argue in korean language), they let me to eat the sandwich. The couple next of day, my father also asked the 'free' sandwich, but they insisted that the sandwich was not served for foreigner.

(not-so-friendly) luggage storage service
My family had already booked the room, we came around 10 am, but the check-in time was on 2pm. I was asking the receptionist where were we supposed to store our luggage, but the receptionist was so unfriendly. I couldn't really catch her fast answer (hey, korean language is my 3rd language!), so I asked her again where exactly I had to put my luggage. She responded me not in a fond way, just as if I was one of her sub-ordinate.

Apart from the service, everything was good. The room was clean.
Will not stay in this hotel in the future.

Our family and friends of 30pax stayed in this hotel. The hotel is rated three-star and you have to walk around 20meters from the road if you do not have a private car just to reach their rather small lobby. The nice front desk employees gave us our room keys and offerred FREE use of their in-house adapters just in case your chargers are incompatible with their sockets. They also have free flowing coffee and tea located near the elevator.
When we entered our room, it was far from
a three-star hotel setting. There is a rather huge bedroom with refrigerator and desktop computer. A LED cable tv is convenietly placed infront of the bed. When we tried the free wi-fi, man it's 30mbps! It was not long enough when our siblings and cousins exchanged calls expressing ecstacy over the FREE wi-fi! Mind you, free. It's a little difficult to have that kind of freebie even in big hotels.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. When we entered the bathroom, a jacuzzi fit for two welcomed us warmly. I was like a melting ice cream upon seeing it and what I love most is that, there is also a cable tv infront of the tub. Perfect for that long warm bath with my husband.
There is likewise a separate shower room and a smart toilet (whatever that's called) with a heat conductor for your legs while you enjoy your alone time in your throne and the rather complicated remote control for the automatic bidet.
The food is just fine. A typical Asian cuisine is served. Don't expect bacons and your usual hotdogs though.
The turn-off for this hotel for some (but definitely not mine) is that it's a little far from the city center and is surrounded by cheap motels.
But truth is, if you visit Seoul, you will of course maximize your time having a tour of the place and do lots of shopping. In our case, we leave at 7am and go back at 8pm. Who cares about the cheap motels around, if you can soak in your warm bath and rejuvenate with your loved one in preparation for the next day's adventure.

Though a bit far from central Seoul and probably near some motels, this was a great hotel for tourists. I especially love the bathroom.
Tub with tv, Shower with Sauna, and Toilet with special bidets with heater seats etc.
Nice beds, cozy ones. and there's wifi :)
They;re restaurant is small though

I visited this hotel twice for a week's stay each time. The hotel is excellent to stay. Staff was very courteous. One of the good things was they had free laundry washing, which is a blessing for people like me living out of a suitcase. Rooms were warm during the cold weather. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the station/ AK Plaza and nicely located. Overall I had a comfortable stay.

I stay here 3 days from 26/10,28/10,29/10. I found that this hotel are most suitable for couples. The room are furnished with 42" TV, a seater and the most amazings are the bathroom. Comes with a jakuzzi and a high tech of toilet accessories. But as i come with friends we can't enjoy this facilities as it should be. Anyway, it's still amazing. Congratulations.

Hotel located at subway Kkatchisan (5mins walk). Do not book this hotel, if you dont have the hotel map and address in Korean language because most of the Korean taxi drivers do not speak foreign language.
Hotel is quite cozy and clean, looked like a "love" hotel. Room is a not bright enough. Three of us shared a deluxe room.
The only reason we booked this hotel because it's one of the cheapest hotel near Gimpo airport, we have to catch a very early flight at Gimpo Airport the next morning.

Don't be fooled by the pictures. If you book and check in, please request the room with computers and jacuzzi. The room can be quite small especially when you bring back all your shopping stuff. Free bottle water and the breakfast buffet not much choice though.
