As they say on their website you enter an older world when staying at the Windsor. More an Edwardian gentleman's club, where gentleman's gentlemen in bow ties take your order in the grand but fading dining and sitting room with an air of benign unctuousness. The food is good and there is a bar that draws the young cosmopolitans of...

For my family of five, this was actually a delightful five-star visit. However, I would not wish others to think this is a modern, five-star hotel. The antiquated nature of the Windsor, built long ago as a Royal Bath, then used as the British Officers Club, is part of the charm. Whether it was via email before our stay or...

Yet another stay at the good old Windsor hotel in downtown Cairo . It is always so good to be welcomed back and made to feel part of the establishment. Whether you are here to relax, spend time visiting the sites of Cairo or have business or other chores to attend to in Cairo, the staff and owners are there...

We (my wife and I) stayed at the Windsor Hotel for a few nights during our honeymoon. Plan was to see Cairo, the Egypt Museum and get to know the city. As Cairo is quite a living and noisy city, the Windsor Hotel and rooms are relatively quite. So after a long day on Cairos streets you can relaxe and...

I selected the Windsor for this trip for a variety of reasons. I am familiar with the neighborhood, located on Alfi Bey Street conveniently within 20 minute walk to Egyptian museum....

OK the Monty Pyton team and Karl Pilkington stayed here. It's quirky and well worth a visit. The bar can be very smoky but the place is like something from another age. We didn't stay here but went for drinks and to admire the furnishings.

Mina, Our amazing tour guide recommended me this Hotel to stay at during my stay in Egypt. It is very unique hotel, you fell that you are living in a classic Movie! It has charming bar, the oldest elevator in egypt and even the furniture is very antique. It is located in downtown close to the museum & khan el...

I've wanted to visit Cairo since I was a little boy. When I finally got round to making my dream happen, I spent hours researching for the perfect hotel for the experience. I decided on the Windsor and was not disappointed. I've stayed at a lot of very high end hotels around the world, and one thing that always struck...
