Nestled upon the private "Kings Island" in the Nile that covers 660,000 sqm, the resort truly is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The idyllic, landscaped hotel grounds are expansive and home to the two main buildings, bungalows and three enticing swimming pool areas. The historic sights of Luxor, located only 4 kilometers from the hotel, can be easily reached by complimentary shuttle buses. The island is connected to the mainland only by a bridge and is virtually free of charge. This makes the Hotel with a Resort spirit an ideal location for families with children. The Hotel has been renovated in 2010 and extended by 320 rooms and suites in 10 elegant bungalows, to reach 545 units with new Theme restaurants, a pool of 2,800 sqm in size and a SPA with fitness center (from early-summer 2011).

Amazing sightseeing, the hotel itself based in an island in the river Nile, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, Zoo, and their own vegetables farms.
Staff is very helpful, presentable and full of energy and hospitality overall is excellent.
Food is very good especially the Italian Restaurant, we had our dinner every evening their.
in the evening you are in a heaven, stars are shining on the river it is like you are in one of the famous painters painting, very quite atmosphere overall.
Fantastic experience, I wish to repeat it again.
by the way you can easily rent a sailing boat from the bank of the hotel where many boats are available to cruise through the river to Banana island and enjoy the pure river as never seen before.
Bye bye

We stayed at this hotel in order to relax after a dahabiya Nile cruise we had done earlier. We chose this hotel deliberately for its somewhat remote location on Crocodile/Kings Island in Luxor. Still it is only apx. 20 min away by taxi (7 US Dollars) from the airport and even less from city center. The ground is somewhat elevated so you can admire the river and traffic on it from hotel grounds. It is more of what Egyptians call a resort- a spacious garden with pools and pavilions spread evenly in it. The apartments are mainly in the form of one floor circular structures divided like a pizza into individual rooms. They are quite large and cozy, have tea, coffee making facilities, all have garden furniture on a small terrace in the front. Except that a path goes around it and people walk on it, so there isn’t much privacy. We booked a room with a view onto the river but frankly, there isn’t much point in it as with ground floor rooms you can’t see much of it anyway. There are also two floor terrace houses with rooms on ground and the first floor at the other end of the island. The garden is beautiful and mature but god knows why trimmed to excess. There are three pools, some with slides and other toys for children. Trouble is, when we were there in December, none was heated. I suppose there were simply too few guests to make it worthwhile. However, with Egyptian sun it should be possible to run them on renewables. Then again the hotel is not that new to have the latest technology. We loved walking in the grounds, along the river bank and watch the traffic on the Nile in the setting sun. We were booked on a half-board basis but you can buy some snacks or drinks if you like. In December there were only a few foreign guests and a local, Egyptian wedding party and weddings take a few days here it seems. Dinners we had in the form of a buffet, wine bought separately. Avoid Shahrazade white wine, best taste first what you order if it is a bottle. Food was better than in many other Egyptian Hotels we stayed in in recent years. There is also at least one a la carte restaurant situated on a jetty. In the evenings piano is played in the bar by the lobby. Staff across all the spectrum was exceedingly polite: from the reception, waiters, through gardeners offering you flowers, beach boys to head waiters etc. Don’t forget some small change for tipping which is normal practice in Egypt and expected. 1-2 Dollars/Euro will do in most cases. We loved the place and can sincerely recommend it.

This hotel was perfect! The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything, including towels, cups, cutlery sets is sealed as preventive measure.

The staff is super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay a comfortable one. The kids (and us) enjoyed being driven to or from the reception in the little convenient golf carts, by the friendly gentleman. In the buffet hall we were always graciously served and Mr Korashy and his teams attention to detail was second to none. They truly make you feel special. The food was fresh and delicious.

The pools and pool service was excellent too. Always a friendly hello!

We hope to see everyone soon in the near future! From the D'Amico Family!

We booked our stayed here at the Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa for a couple of nights. There are so many things to comment about it's hard to know where to start! . The ambiance of the entrance was very impressive. We were greeted very kindly and checking in was easy. It is away from main city of Luxor and feels very private and peaceful.
We had breakfast included in our booking and bought dinner in the hotel. The buffet breakfast has a great selection of Egyptian food and pastries. Their restaurants are very fairly priced and the food we ate were such good quality and taste. We left each time feeling very full and filled. The servers are also very kind people.
The hotel amenities were all very amazing and very well maintained and clean. There are three pools and the infinity pool was our favorite hangout spot. They have a zoo with a some animals like goats, donkeys, and bunnies to name a few. They were all so cute and well taken care of. There are tennis courts, a mosque and a ballroom around the site too.
The best experience of all was when we were strolling along the Nile river walking path and then stepped down into a seating area and watched the sunset with serenity.
Lastly, our room itself was very comfortable and homey. It has a lot of space and the bed was firm and very comfortable. And they provided water bottles each day as part of the room stay. The room has blackout curtains that double as good insulators during the day so the room stays cool in the hot sun. We had a great night's sleep every night.
We absolutley loved our time here at the hotel and very highly recommend anyone to consider booking there. 5 stars!

We emailed and called the hotel on many occasions in order to make a reservation, the telephone went unanswered and so did the emails. We reached out to the manager and booked a superior room. The lady who checked us in charged us on arrival and incorrectly gave us a standard room. The standard rooms are awful, old fashioned, small and out dated, the aren’t representative in anyway of a five star hotel. We return to reception and asked to leave and be refunded. They took us to the superior room which we had originally booked. It’s a much larger room but not remotely five star. Two sachets of Nescafé and powdered milk, old bathroom.
The enforced NY gala dinner was much the same, for anyone with knowledge of Egypt would understand the value of 2400 egyptian pounds. My family were given a Coca Cola In a plastic cup as a reception drink and the buffet food was cold, unseasoned and unpleasant.
The reception staff made no effort to greet us either on entering or departing the hotel, we were given absolutely no details on any of the hotel facilities.
The building is old, out dated and old fashioned. It isn’t remotely representative of any five star hotel in Egypt.
After a long day sightseeing we reluctantly ordered room service and requested the food be hot, we were given uncooked cold pasta, cold meat and fries.
For anyone who is used to staying in a luxury hotel, this wouldn’t be right for you. At best it’s a three star in a nice location far from the sights of Luxor.
Our room was well cleaned and our breakfast ( basic food) was pleasant.
To make matters worse, after our initial contact with the hotel manager, he looked me up on Facebook and tried to befriend me.

It was our first stay in Luxor the resort was the biggest ever I saw in my life it has a big large farm on both sides of it's island and has a lovely small zoo that had rabbits and cows and 3 monkeys and horses. It's very joyful to see this animals and get time to feed them by yourself.
Our stay was moderate. We had nice breakfast with good varities every day but not that excellent. I think the omelet station needs to be more aware about types of serving omelet. The pan cakes are good. The waiters at the open area are very speedy and helpful. They took good care of us.
Ahmed at the reception was very helpful but seems that the Egyptian operator is not that good. The resort seem to had a better days when it was with Martim Jollie ville or Movenpick in the 90s. Ahmed tried to help us as much as he could but all the nile view rooms didn't actually see the nile as they all are ground room.
There is a new extension with second floor but u have to pay extra for that upgrade. Just to see the nile from ur room.
The resort is spacious and very queit which is a bit scary at night. There was a dead activites as for covid restrictions and Tourism restrictions to hold any activities.
I was planning to see the cobra show but they told us no activities at all.

The room was good but need some maintenance and the handle of the rooms was too heavy. Need a good upgrade for easier usage.

The infinity pool will be fantastic in March or April its not heated. There is 3 pools all in all one is heated

We had an amazing expereince. We are already thinking about our next stay. The hotel is an island so you can imagine the view and the quietness. They dont allow any cars in, so the air you breathe is fresh and you can finally hear the birds again. Property is modern, rooms are spacious, my kids played and chased eachother inside. The hotel has 3 pools, so you will never feel that it is crowded. Infinity pools are amazing, you feel like you are right in the middle of the river. Staff is very friendly and helpful specially Mr Gamal Samir, the general manager of the hotel. He is the true defintion of Hospitality. The hotel has a play area for the kids along with a kids club with 2 teachers who supervise the kids if you need a break :) the kids club room also has 2 beds in case the kids want to sleep, it has an AC, a bathroom and a TV as well. We met with the owner as well, Mr Khaled Salem, he is very nice and humble.nHe always had a smile on his face. The hotel also has a mini zoo which is perfect for our kids. Kids were able to feed the animals, and sometimes the zoo keeper would bring the bunny out so we can play with him. One of the beautiful things also was that Feluccas were docked right there at the hotel, so anytime you needed to take one it was ready, the weather was perfect, we took the felucca twice, feeling the breeze going through your hair, it was very relaxing. The hotel also has cab services. I need a whole other day to talk about the food. It was so delicious, we gained weight just these few days :). Breakfast has so many options, both eastern and western. What makes breakfast even more delicious is the Violinist playing next to you while you are eating and looking at the river. It was just phenomeninal. The hotel also has a bar where you can enjoy a drink at night along with a pianist who plays beautiful music. Dinner was so yummy, specially the Tuscany chicken :) The New Year's Gala Dinner was beyond imagination. From the perfomances to the food and the organization, it was huge success.
Honeslty, Chapeau Jolie Ville <3 We will defintiely be back. I have attached some pictures from our memorable experience :)

There are some positives however the negatives outweigh the positives and why I went with such a low rating. I will start with the positives:
The location and grounds are very nice with a world class view. The grounds crew was always working and the grounds looked great.
The food tasted good, a lot of options, and not crazy priced.
The negatives:
The staff, shower, and dated accommodations. I have been in Egypt now for several days and the people are great. The staff here was not and it was disappointing. Maybe they are over dealing with demanding tourist but that is the job. They tried to overcharge, carts never show up, service was slow, and lobby is always chaos. I think it was more management as the cleaning crews seemed to be working hard to keep this resort functioning.
It would have been nice to have a small shop where you could buy waters or cokes but that is a minor gripe. Getting mean mugged by the staff all the time was the real issue that magnified all the little things. The furniture was dated, shower/tub leaked in multiple places, and bed was "firm" to say the least. Towels were old and rough, rooms were loud, and no safe in my room. It felt like an old 4-H camp of sorts and would not be my first option when in Luxor. One last point, this is nowhere close to a 5 star location. If the staff was friendly and eager to help (which they are not), the food (tasted fine) presentation is miles off what real 5 star locations are. Granted the costs of the food is not 5 star but why say it if you know it is not.
You stay here and enjoy the view but the service is sketchy and overpriced. Just my .2 cents

Me and my boyfriend spontaneously booked one night at Jolie Ville on the end of our holiday to hurghada to have a chance to see some of Egypt’s history and we weren’t disappointed! We stayed in a classic Nile view room which had slightly dated decor but the incredible view and the setting of the hotel made this seem unimportant. We were pleasantly surprised to find the infinity pool completely deserted and had the whole area pretty much to ourselves for the afternoon! We had dinner at the Italian restaurant out on the terrace which had a romantic ambiance surrounded but fairy lights in the trees and that incredible view once again. Mousa also gave us unforgettable service and was one of a few members of staff who’ve worked there for 20 years + which only adds to the authentic charm of the place. Check out the boats down on the pier which you can rent for only 40egp and if you’re into animals the small zoo/farm on site provides an extra attraction. The gentleman looking after the animals said we could come back to help feed them in the afternoon which we would’ve loved to do but we sadly had to check out beforehand. We definitely want to come back as our visit just was not long enough! An idyllic paradise perfect for a day of history and culture in Luxor

We came to this hotel 3 years ago. The food was better breakfast with more options. This visit the food is limited in both breakfast and dinner, and when some sorts are finished from the buffet they don't refill automatically you have to tell them and wait and sometimes they don't even get anything.
Some rooms are located very far from the reception and the golf car service is very poor, not enough cars or drivers and very unfriendly behaviour. Very annoying for a group with elderly people or kids.
The 3 stars are for the amazing views, nice (but cold) infinity pool and good rooms.
