This place is built with art, is delicate and the people will do everything to make you enjoy your stay. The rooms are uniquely designed and decorated, you will feel like at home but in a palace. It is a wonderful experience, a must try in Luxor, even if a few km away from the city.

We stayed for 6 nights at the Al Moudira Hotel and loved every minute. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with antiques and hand drawn motifs; the gardens are beautiful and set out as courtyards surrounded by the rooms; the swimming pool was huge and had fresh towels supplied each day. The staff are very friendly and helpful,... More

Lovely hotel, great location and fantastic service. Really highly recommended for both families and individuals. Great spot from which to visit the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and the Luxor Museum. Looking forward to returning.

Stunning individually decorated rooms in a peaceful location far away from the hustle and bustle. Arcaded courtyards and tiled flooring with shady patios and cooling fountains. Pool setting is large for the number of rooms. Food was good and presentation was stylish (I had rice as part of one evening meal and it was presented like 3 pyramids!) Staff were... More

What a wonderful hotel, not our usual 5 star stay, but special in other ways. The initial drive to the hotel is through a relatively rustic setting that belies the beautiful hotel behind it. Very close to the Valley of the Kings area/complex it is an ideal location to base your Luxor adventure from. The staff are excellent, attentive but... More

Al Moudira gives you a very different experience of Luxor and of Egypt as well. It is a beautiful, handcrafted hotel—groupings of Moorish-style rooms in garden settings. Each rooms is unique, furnished in colorful tiles and antique furniture. The welcome is warm and the service, excellent. Breakfast in one of the gardens is delightful and the food in the restaurant... More

Beginning with our warm welcome on arrival until our departure two days later, we appreciated every moment spent in this wonderful hotel. It is located perhaps 20 minutes drive from the centre of Luxor on the west bank, an ideal spot for the various sightseeing trips into Luxor, which is on the east bank, and the Valley of the Kings... The Al Moudira was all I had hoped it would be, both peaceful and beautiful, created in the style of an Arabian riad, with lovely courtyards, arbors, paint effects and decorative objects. There is a feeling of absolute timelessness and relaxation. The bedrooms are enormous and charmingly decorated avoiding the antiseptic vibe of international hotels. The bathrooms are perhaps not... This is a really special hotel. A little out of the way, but the villages you pass through to get there give you a fascinating insight into the real Luxor and the locals are so happy to see you! The massive room was Arabian inspired with a huge four poster bed. It really did feel like an oasis. The entire... More

Knowing this place for many years, it is still my absolute favorit place in Egypt. Cozy, old-stylish in a very positiv way, feels like you are in an old style aristocratic Delta House of the golden twenties. Yes, there are things that could be done better, yes, the bathrooms need refurbishing, and no, it is not a perfect 5 star... More
