Nice, clean, comfortable hotel, but do pay the extra for a Nile view room with balcony. We booked a garden room as we were only staying a couple of nights, but the 'garden' rooms do not overlook a garden at all, they all face inwards over the hotel lobby, the 'garden' being large window boxes with various plants etc. The floor in the lobby is polished every night, the noise of the machine echoing and reverberating all around the lobby area at around 2 to 3 o'clock in the morning ! Apart from that the hotel was really nice, friendly, the food and service in the bar and restaurant was very good.

Good Day, Mr. Peter; On behalf of the management team and staff members; I would like to thank you for sparing your time to post your short comment regarding our hotel services. We are really happy to know that we were up to your expectations and sincerely look forward to welcoming you back. Regarding your side comment about the garden rooms, I would lime that the garden rooms are the ones overlooking the Nile and hotel garden, while the lobby side rooms all are overlooking the lobby area. Please accept my apology for the noise of the floor marble polishing machine and rest assured that we have taken the necessary action and replaced the machine with another that does not emit a loud sound that reaches the ears of the guests in their rooms. Once again we do thank you for your time, and looking forward to welcoming you back to our Iberotel Luxor in the near future. Assuring you of our best services and attention at all the times; Here below my email address and cell phone number: mohamed.hassan@jazhotel.com +20100 1600 611 I will be more than happy to receive a short note of your next visit to welcome you personally. Waking up to a breathtaking view of the hot air balloons over the West Bank on the first morning was lovely!
After a long day travelling, we spent the first day relaxing at the pool, which was exceptionally clean.
There is a felucca tied up next to the pool, I can highly recommend a felucca ride at sunset, and it’s not very expensive.
We arranged a tour guide for our next trips, and we got a fantastic guide Hassan. The price included the ferry to the West Bank (10 minutes from next to the swimming pool), car and driver. Well worth it, we learnt so much, and weren’t bothered so much, having a guide with us.
We ate in all 3 restaurants at the hotel; unfortunately the boat restaurant isn’t in use anymore. The food in all was excellent. Breakfast is an especially good choice. Ask for a breakfast box if you’re doing an early morning trip, or leaving early for the airport.
A few previous negative reviews mentioned the bedrooms requiring updating.. yes perhaps they do, but you’re only there to sleep, and our room was spacious. The bathroom was very small, and if you wanted a hot shower, the water diminished to a trickle, but that was the only complaint.
The main areas of the hotel, bar and restaurants were all very clean. The garden grounds are beautiful. And are very well kept. We found all staff very friendly, smiley and attentive. I unfortunately haven’t got everyone’s names, but we kept Hamdy busy getting us drinks and snack, also Ashraf and Mahmoud.

Over the years we have stayed in many Hotels but this has been an unforgettable stay. From the moment we checked in all through our stay, until we check out we were completely embraced by the friendlyness and hospitality that was reflected at all levels from management to reception and services staff. We felt very much at home. Our room 403 was comfortable, spacious and clean with beautiful Nile view from our Balcony and the hotels location is just Brilliant right close to Luxor Museum from where we could easily take a ferry to the west bank. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices to suit every ones need & some nice restaurants in the viciniy to eat in the evening. Our special thanks goes to Marina from customer service Kassim in the breakfast lounge who took good care of us every day.

Unfriendly man at the reception when we arrived. We booked a room with 2 beds but got a room with a bed for 2 persons. When we got back at the reception a friendly man helped us. Got a new room. The bed was okay. Haven’t got free water but friends who had another room have got it. Strange because when we booked we booked 2 the same rooms. The beds are okay. I’m the bathroom especially the shower which is in a small bath is very weak but has got hot water. We we turned on a light the power in the room was out. When we arrived back it was fixed.
The hotel has WiFi but it’s not strong. Breakfast is okay with hot and cold dishes. It’s European and Egyptian. Tasted tasteful. When you ask for omelet ask to make it welldone otherwise it’s half raw.
The bar is nice and serves also alcohol

I think not the best hotel in Luxor and would recommend to look further in Luxor

Spent one night at the property after a nile cruise. The property is located on the bank of the Nile and has a water view from a beautiful tiered courtyard in the rear of the hotel. Unfortunately, that is the only thing the hotel has going for it. Upon arrival, our group were each assigned rooms and none of the room keys worked - after multiple attempts the problem was never fixed and someone had to let us in to our rooms. Rooms lacked basic amenities (soap, coffee/tea cups even though someone brought coffee and tea), the A/C was at a freezing temperature no matter where you set it, the shower had low pressure and no hot water and the bed only had one thin sheet on it. Service was terrible - a request for a blanket was fulfilled after 90 minutes, and restaurant staff were not friendly. The hotel is also not located close to any restaurants or amenities and you are harassed by locals if you venture out of the hotel.

Definitely look for an alternative for your stay in Luxor.

Unfortunately, I did not expect to have a bad stay at this hotel especially since Iberotel is a respectable hotel chain. On arrival, everything was fine, the staff adhered to covid precautions and check in was smooth. The lobby area itself was nice and warm.

The room itself was a different story. Despite the hotel and especially the room being non-smoking, the room had a very strong cigarette smell. The room furniture looked old and the carpet was filthy. The room had a thermostat that theoretically allows the resident in the room to control the temperature of the room but it was not working and was stuffy throughout the night with only a light breeze from the “AC”. Woke up in the middle of the night uncomfortable and then there were also a few houseflies in the room. Went down to complain to front staff and apparently despite there being a thermostat in the room, the hotel operates under central AC. This meant that guests don’t really have a choice in controlling the room temperature despite there being a thermostat. Also the staff seemed to dismiss the smoke smell in the room but did not take action to prevent this happening in the first place from checking the room before we entered/housekeeping.

Hotel did offer to change room, but I was so disgusted by that night’s stay that I decided to switch to the Hilton hotel which was much much better than Iberotel. The hotel did offer to accept an early checkout along with a refund of the night that i didn’t spend, so that was a nice gesture. But overall, I do not recommend this hotel. Go to the winter pavilion or the Hilton, but not this hotel!

The Iberotel Luxor is in an excellent location overlooking the Nile (and 15 minutes from the train/bus station). Am so happy I chose to stay here. The Nile facing room is well worth the slightly higher price.

My room was a good size with a fridge, lots of closet space, two arm chairs and a table. Only minus was that the sockets are oddly far from the bed. The balcony is great for sitting in the evening or at night or whenever it's not hot. It's quiet though the outside bar was playing a soccer game. Otherwise, no noise at night. Also no wifi issues anywhere in the hotel.

The bathroom is functional but could use a bit of updating.

The morning breakfast buffet had everything (breads, omelet bar, fruits, veggies, jams, cheese, meats, yogurts, dips, sweets, juices) and I went back for seconds and thirds every day.

The pool area is lovely and right next to the Nile. Plenty of chairs and you can order from the cafe or just nap.

All the staff from the waiters to the manager are nice and helpful.

I walked to the sights, shopping and restaurants but obviously there are taxis and horses waiting outside.

I was very happy, stayed an extra night and would absolutely recommend.

We loved the hotel and service, the hotel has the best location in the city, you need to walk few minutes to be in the bazaars area or Luxor temple, the view from the room was the best moment specially early morning watching the ballons from the other side of the Nile, the room bit old but it has everything (minibar, tea and coffee cocker, air conditioning and safe box)
The service was excellent, very polite and friendly staff and what I noticed was that the management was always around offering the help and making sure that everything was good for all customers.
The food was good specially the breakfast buffet which has everything you wish to eat for breakfast, drinks were good but I think it was bit expensive!
We loved our stay and we recommend this hotel for everyone.

Good hotel but bedrooms in need of urgent update. Other major issue. No drinks like water supplied at dinner although available with breakfast. Glass water/fruit juice machine costs US$2 at dinner. Felt it necessary to buy water from supermarket & take into restaurant. Hotel river cruise charged similarly against usual Egyptian custom of free food & drink on cruises

Nestled along the banks of the majestic Nile River, this accommodation offers a prime location within a short stroll from the city center and temples and just 15 minutes from the airport. It's the ideal setting for quality family moments while exploring the wonders of Luxor. The standout feature is the enchanting floating pool that overlooks the Nile and the lush green gardens, creating a captivating ambiance for savoring an aperitivo at sunset or embarking on a boat journey right from the hotel's garden to explore the attractions of the West Bank.

The rooms are generously spacious and provide a comfortable retreat, while the service exudes the warmth and hospitality characteristic of Egypt. Without a doubt, I would choose to stay here again should I find myself in Luxor once more.

When we went in March it was 75-190 EGP per drink. Some menus had USD prices and they seemed to be more keen on that currency when we visited.
