I went to the restaurant but not to reserve hotel, so I have no idea about the living part. It's a quiet place in Nairobi, there is a beautiful garden. There is enormous of flowers and two swings, so it's a good place to stay with friends and kids. And during this time, the weather is comfortable, so it's nice...

I recently stayed here for 5 nights in one of the rooms with a veranda facing the gardens. The rooms and facilities are simple and very comfortable. They have an updated tennis/basketball court and plenty of garden seating, which allows guests to spend most of their time outside. For those travelling with children, there is a small playground area and...

My family and I have stayed at Amani Gardens (Mennonite Guest House) numerous times. Most times it has been lovely and relaxing. Over the past few years they have been trying to expand their business and recent visits have shown and expanded restaurant and more use of the tennis facilities for lessons or something. Our most recent stay was over...

A garden heaven in the middle of the bustling city madness :) Well organised and maintained. We stayed in the older smaller rooms with shared bathroom. the beds were very comfortable and rooms have own basin. Newer block with balconies by garden look gorgeous. Very nice tennis/basketball court. no swimming pool but it's too cold in Nairobi mostly anyway. Breakfast...

This was just a garden-centered guest house--includes breakfast (even custom-ordered omelets), within safe walking distance of a shopping mall, and in a quiet neighbourhood. Hosts were very helpful; front desk staff seemed to be able to organize anything from taxis (set price) to ordering ground coffee, to knowing times for most places to visit. We were able to leave luggage...

Great B&B that is welcoming, quiet, and relaxed. Huge gardens where you can spend the day relaxing even if you are not staying there. The only gluten free pizza in town! Great milkshakes too! A great swing in the middle of the garden. Highly recommend this gem!

Went to visit a friend who stayed here for the night. It is a Mennonite guesthouse or was as it states now.The entrance is a tiny gate just off the main Church road with a smll signboard that can be missed on a dark rainy night as it was. A small adequate car park with a large house tastefully done in...

It was a quiet restful place to stay. There are beautiful gardens. We enjoyed the wonderful swing and the playing tennis. The only problem was at check in. We had started our day at 4:30 am in Tanzania and traveled by taxi and then a 11 hour 20 minute bus ride. We we arrived at 8:10 PM the front office...

We stayed for 4 nights in a 2 week period as we came and went through Nairobi on our way to other places. The outdoor sitting areas and gardens are beautiful. The rooms are clean but some are in need of updates. The brick oven pizza is a nice surprise and the included breakfast with made to order eggs is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Amani Gardens Inn, formerly the Mennonite Guest House has a 50-year reputation of warm hospitality and quiet gardens. Located in Westlands, our guest house is situated conveniently close to major shopping malls, banking centers, and restaurants, yet the place still retains the feel of a retreat in the countryside with our old English-style buildings and ancient trees. You can spend the morning quietly reading under a 100-year old jacaranda tree, or hop in a taxi and be exploring down town a few minutes later. Amani means peace in Swahili which is a distinctive of the Mennonites. We hope you will find our gardens a peaceful oasis in the middle of a bustling city. Amani means peace in Kiswahili. Spacious gardens, friendly staff, and traditional American food bring our guests back again and again. Amani Gardens is under the Mennonite Board of East Africa. ... more   less
