The service was poor, strike that, the service was terrible. Waited for breakfast for more than an hour, I had ordered tea and omelette, surely how much time do you need to prepare that. The manager and owner were also very rude when these issues were raised. Very dissapointing.

We visited Whistling Thorns one weekday late in the afternoon with five of our children. I found the staff very accommodating and friendly. There was a long wait for the food which was cooked fresh but the kids were having such a good time in the well kept swimming pool that it didn't matter. The food was very nice and...

That's the equivalent of a round trip from Nairobi to Whistling Thorns! We were very surprised at the overall lack of service at the place as well as the nonchalance by the staff and management. It was unfortunately very frustrating to have to complain a number of times to get some decent service only to be met by blank looks....

It is a shame I have to write such a negative review but our terrible experience has to be shared. The management and staff are just un-welcoming and make you feel like you should not have bothered coming. We were the only guests here and the staff made zero effort to make us feel welcome - in fact they did...

Whistling Thorns is a very good, relaxing place to stay when in the Nairobi/Karen area of Kenya. We stayed in a cabin with a bathroom/shower, and our accommodations were very comfortable. Jacob, our driver for two days, was fantastic. He explained the history of the area, along with knowing exactly where to take us in the area on our free...

Today i decided to order from the menu and down went the ratings. I go there at 12 and ordered for drinks which were served in a timely fashion then ordered for...

Stopped by Whistling Thorns en route from Namanga to Nairobi on Jamhuri day. It was a lovely stop on a very bumpy road! However was a bit disappointed with the service - there was only one women's toilet available to visitors - and it didn't have any toilet paper, even an hour after we informed the waiters. The food was...

Went to Whistling Thorns for a quite afternoon with family. My son and sweet wife enjoyed their swimming to the fullest. The food was really tasty and like home made...an culinary experience I do remember till now. The entry to the facility is however bit hidden with poor signage to lead you. Especially, once you take the left turn at...
