Accommodation is basic. But most hotels at Masai mara hotels are basic apart from Serena hotel. People are basically there for wilderbeast migration. The food is average, they organize parked lunch, since the drive in the park takes a whole day. Bonfire at night and quite chilly, you provide your own entertainment at night. Lights are out by 10p.m but...

We stayed for two nights. The rooms were clean and the camp was located close to one of the gates to the Masai Mara. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were super basic. Good alternative if you don't want you stay in the park. The food was simply and delicious. Our guide (Robert) was amazing. He was very knowledgeable...

We arrived expecting basic accommodation and that is what was delivered. It has a nice view and the tents are okay. However, maintenance does not seem to be a priority. Holes in the tent and the mosquito net. The bathroom although basic should be cleaner. Although the location was convenient and our guide made the trip wonderful I was not...

The location is around 10 minutes drive from here entrance to the park. That's convenient. Nothing else about this place was good. There's litter all around the entrance. We had no water at all our first night. They brought us a bucket with which we were to wash and flush toilet with. Disgusting. Mosquito net had holes in. Tends are...

I had chosen Manyatta Camp because from the camp you have some views to the hills. The tent itself was ok although no hot water. Power (through generators) is only early morning and evening (but that's same for all the camps here). Dinner was good although two days in a row same main dish, breakfast a bit disappointing (very few...

Was supposed to stay in Kimana as part of our itinerary however, ended up in this campsite. Surprisingly, it was a pleasant stay. The tents are comfortable and the washroom attached to it though very basic is sufficient enough. Food is not great, but good enough for a budget camp. 10 mins or so away from the gates of the...

The camp is located few minutes from the entry to the park. Room has all basic facilities, but only 1 power socket. Electricity is available early morning and around 7-10pm. The hot water not always available.

To echo what everyone else is saying, this is a no-frills accommodation next to the game park. You shouldn't expect luxury, but the camp is clean, well serviced and charming in its own way. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all served buffet style.

I booked this place through a travel agency and they offered us a choice of this basic place and the luxury place for more money. For what we paid, the service was good. The location is outside of the park but very close to the entrance so it's convenient. The food is OK. It's a buffet and nothing special but...

Kenya is Amazing, But unfortunately Manyatta camp offered the worst experience in such a wonderful country. # The location is GREAT for safari excursions. #You are promised wifi ...There is none !! #Water is scarce. ..spent nearly two days without water and the worst of it is that toilets are in same tents so you cannot use for obvious reasons....

“Since this is a budget camp, ensure that your tent has zips that actually zip up or else you will freeze and get wet during the cold and or rainy season. Make sure you bring along a powerful torch or solar light as the generator is switched off at 10.30pm sharp. Try and get a room near the dining area, you feel safer esp if you are females.”
