Admittedly was here quite a few years ago but it was really superb, best 'hostel' experience I've ever had. I had my own room and bathroom which was very clean and comfortable, the staff where extremely nice, the roof top restaurant and the breakfast restaurant...More

The title says it all - I loved this place. I (and kids) were in a private room, not the dorm area. The rooms were basic but comfortable - large king bed. Facilities were very basic - no toiletries which surprised me considering we were...More

Laughed at when I asked to get a breakdown of what I was paying in cash-no card reader there. Wifi does not work in rooms, barely in lobby. Uninviting and cold staff entire stay. Uninviting all around

I stayed here 7 nights in May in the 8 bed male dorm. It is a good place. It is located on a quiet Hutong street, with many Chinese pedestrian tourists (and some electric vehicles) which gives it a holiday feel. The building is tastefully...More

Super friendly hostel staff, clean, great location, beautiful, quick reply to e-mails, arrange tours and airport transport. Super expensive restaurant, small portions, no vegan options, no hot water during a stay of eight nights, non-adjustable shower, lockers that couldn’t be locked.

About
Description
A lively hostel! If you like to be surrounded by flowers, and if you like to feel like home when you travel, this is the right place for you!Peking International Youth Hostel is situated at the most ...More charming and popular Hutong Conservative District in Beijing - the south of Nanluoguxiang. It is located near the very heart of the city, in the Dongcheng District. The alley's north end is enclosed by Gulou and Zhonglou. A little south-west at the end of the alley, is the middle axis of Beijing where the Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City and the Tiananmen Square sits along. The gorgeous night time attraction sites, Houhai, Qianhai and Shishahai is just to the west of the alley, in a distance that should take you around only 10 to 15 minutes walk through Yu'er Hutong. Yes, and they were happy to write directions or place names in Chinese characters that I could take with me and show the paper to the taxi driver.

When we stayed there last October we asked the same question - the hostel suggested we take a taxi or the metro. Just make sure to look carefully at a map so you know how to get from the road to the hostel - there's a bit of... More
