I stayed here in the summer of 2010 when I booked a one-week flight+hotel trip to Beijing from Hong Kong, the trip cost only US$900.00. What a deal!! The inn is located within walking distance of Jingshan and Beihai Parks, and the Bell Tower and Forbidden City. Right next door is the famous Nanluoguxiang Hutong. What's amazing about the little... This hotel is decent for what you pay. I have stayed in much better, and I have stayed in much worse. The room is tiny, the beds are hard, and there was mold of some sort growing out of our ceiling. However the front desk staff were very friendly, they book tours for you down at the front desk and... More

Not sure why anyone stays here but it seems popular with loud Chinese tourists. The rooms badly need updating and unfortunately the drains are pretty smelly. The wifi is so slow as to be practically non existent. The sheets had holes in them. They charge a lot more than much nicer places just around the corner so I really don't get... More

We were shocked to see the filth and dirt in our first room. The walls were so dirty previous guests had graffitid the wall. We changed room immediately to another grubby room but without the graffiti filth. The bed had lots of black hairs and dirt. The walls had stains and all kinds. The room was cramped and dirty. The... The staff knows not a single english word (how ever they are friendly and try their best to ubderstand you) and the rooms are dirty. The beds are harder then a rock, seriously you would probably be more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The WiFi was good.

While this "hotel" is cheap it is certainly not worth the price. We paid $23CAD for one room, two twin beds. Arrived, got to our room, one double bed. Had to go back down to the front desk to get another room. No apology or anything. We come up to our "new" room and it's small, cramped and very old.... More

Arriving into Beijing by train, our first contact with the hotel was to call them to see if they could arrange a car to pick us up (to get a taxi is VERY difficult). The receptionist who answered couldn't speak english so transferred me but no one ever answered and then they hung up. Wasn't happy about that. Ok, so... More

PROS: Room was cozy, clean, and well maintaned. Has a little store in lobby with good prices on things. Is not far from many attractions and tour guides will meet you in lobby. CONS: Mattress was hard as is customary in China. You could not lower the temp on A/C unit past 25C

If you get a good price the Hotel is a good possibility for a cheap stay in Beijing.. Service is correct. Room presentation on the Internet is much better than the reallity. Rooms are clean.

Really the only positive for this hotel was location. Convenient, even if surrounded by construction and a solid 10 minute walk to the subway. For the price, you can do a lot better in Beijing. They do daily cleaning, but there were stains on the mattress pad visible through the sheets and stains on top of the comforter. Tiles in... More
