The room was large and clean, comfortable bed, somewhat hard pillow. There were two sets of free slippers by the bed, but only 1 towel in the bathroom. The restaurant on the second floor was very good, but only served Chinese food. The staff do not speak English, beyond a few common words, not even on the front desk; but...

Indeed a hotel only for locals. The staff could not communicate in English at all. A double room came with only one towel and asking for another was an adventure of a lifetime. As the building consists mostly of offices, getting the lift on a weekday is another nightmare, no sense of queueing at all- just push and stamp on...

About 20km from the Beijing airport, which is a 75-100 Yuan taxi fare. Make sure you get a legit taxi, and that they use the fare meter rather than show you a laminated card that has a list of fares on it. Short walking distance to two major train stations, the Olympic village, shopping centres and restaurants. Friendly staff, they...
