I wasn't very impressed with this hotel. The checkin and checkout was slow and laborious, I had a big job convincing them to honour my reservation dates, even with a copy of the hotel's own confirmation note, and the reception staff speak poor English. The bedroom was fairly clean, but the lighting is dismal and so it was difficult to...

Short walk to a beautiful park. Not really for those looking to stay in central Beijing. Helpful staff. Breakfast buffet offers copious western and local options. Relatively quiet area. Bus depot is close for public transport to the Summer Palace. An hour or so taxi ride from the airport.

I am sitting in the lobby on the sofa. The front desk guy shows up to me, saying: can you please sit up? Fyi I was sitting already. I look at him saying: excuse me? Then starts the Chinese-English conversation. Obviously he didnt speak well English, and my Chinese sucks. So figure it out. Anyway his hole point was, I...

The good. The hotel room is nice, and it is very close to the Botanical Garden. It also has a pretty good and affordable restaurant just outside the hotel gate. The bad. At check in they told me they didn't have a second room for me, which I paid in advance and confirmed. After talking to Expedia for 20 minutes...

If you are palnning to stay and visit the Beijing Botanical Gardens, this is a nice hotel to stay. The lobby, grounds and rooms are very nice, well appointed. The buffet is decent, not the best or worst I have had. Our biggest problem was the lack of people who can speak any English. Our toilet plugged and I talked...

I stayed here for three days for a meeting. The taxi driver had a difficult time finding the hotel although I gave him directions written in Chinese and a map. He had to stop twice in the town outside the hotel to ask for directions and reversed course once. Finally, we went up a street and the lighted sign at...

For a local, this is no doubt a lovely out-of-town escape hotel. For a foreign visitor, it leaves much to be desired. Plus points: bedroom comfortable, clean, well-kept; location - pretty Minus points: location: way out of town, a long way from anything except the Fragrant Hill park and the Summer Palace; Food: pretty bad! the buffet restaurant food is...

This hotel is a beautiful property located within 20-30 minutes from the entrance to the foot of Fragrant Hills. The grounds feel relaxing, as the posted pictures show, and the rooms, lobby, and hotel grounds have a luxurious appearance and feel. Service is functional, albeit not friendly, and housekeeping was fine. The breakfast buffet that came with my room was...
